Cyclone Alert. 🌪️⛈️

Preparation is essential in the event that we are affected by Cyclone Alfred.
Important to prioritise the safety of yourself and your animals.

Here are some suggestions for you to prepare for the arrival of Alfred
- Stock up on food and water for yourself and animals
- Check to see your pets have medications, particularly those needed for storms.
- Verify that microchip details are current.
- Important to attach phone numbers and ID tags to your pets. During flooding etc, if someone finds your pet they can contact you.
- Keep dogs and cats inside for their safety or in a safe area where they can't get out.

CHRISTMAS CLOSURE
Monday 23rd Dec, we are booked out for consultations, up to midday. Closing early.
We will be closed from Tuesday 24th Dec, and will reopen Monday 6th Jan 8.30

STORM SEASON - We are seeing so many post about lost and found dogs/cats with all these storms. To make sure your treasured pet finds it way home to you, make sure it has a collar with name tag and current phone number, microchip your pet so if it is taken to a vet you can be contacted by tracing the microchip details. Also check your pets microchip contact details are up to date. Stay safe during this storm season and make sure your pet is contained and locked away during storms.

TICK, TICK TICK, we have had so many pets come in with TICK paralysis this year. Be aware we have TICKS 12 months of the year in the Scenic Rim, prevention is better than treatment, and possible loss of your precious pet.

PLEASE BE ALERT -Ticks are still around, please be aware and ensure your pets are covered with preventative treatment, sadly we have had two cases at the clinic in the last four days with sad outcomes.

Found 6-7 week old female kitten, found near the Boonah Hospital on Highbury St, sitting on the road, it is ok apart from some scratches.

Keep your pets safe tonight, fireworks are scary for them. Keep them locked inside, if you can't make sure they have some ID on them, phone number on their collar so if they escape they can find their way home.
