Discus are not a fish that normally gets me excited however I had to share these pics as these are something very special. Newly imported and very rarely seen Red Map Discus bred by Mark Tan. These guys are still in quarantine and they had a very rough trip. However the colours are absolutely breathtaking. These photos are not enhanced in any way. First photo was taken straight after arrival - second photo two days later.

These will be on display at Specialty Aquarium when the shop opens later this month. Thinking I'm going to need to set up a discus tank..

We've been working with the genetics on Marbled Zebra (M. estherae for a long time. We've developed a new strain with a beautiful yellow body colour (replacing the normal white/pink) along with an intense purple in the marbling. Females are also starting to show some colour. These are young males only round 9cm.
