Tara's passion and knowledge in the animal industry has lead her to establish Bowen Dog Training, offering courses and private sessions locally.

🎓🐶PUPPY GRADUATION 🐶🎓

Congratulations to our puppy team on their exceptional graduation accomplishment!

A fierce storm unexpectedly hit on graduation day, yet the puppies demonstrated remarkable resilience!!

The storm presented a thrilling spectacle for the humans, and I am impressed by the resilience our canine friends exhibited in the midst of intense thunder, lightning, wind and rain. 🌧️ ⚡️

Leveraging our training experience, we implemented effective strategies for managing the puppies during the storm, thereby minimising their stress. These skills will be extremely helpful as the wet season has arrived!

Throughout the past five weeks, our team has accomplished impressive feats, including acquiring calm behaviour, refining socialisation skills, and initiating command work with their handlers.

I am so proud of the extraordinary progress you have all achieved through training in such a condensed time frame as a team!

I encourage you to continue your daily practice, as you are all progressing remarkably well, and I eagerly await your transition to Level 1 next year! A confident leader will create a calm and confident dog!

Congratulations to our Level 1 team on your graduation! 😍🙌🏻

The past 4 weeks we have been continuing to strengthen our training as a team and the results speak for themselves!

Everyone in this team had completed our puppy pre school course, so we got straight into proofing our commands and developing stronger relationships and focus between owners and their canines through training exercises and repetitious practices.

You should be so proud of the commitment you have all made to practicing and implementing what we learn at school and incorporating these skills at home, in public and into your lifestyles is amazing!

🎓🐕 LEVEL 2/3 GRADUATION 🐕🎓

Check out this awesome team…congratulations on your graduation!!

As we move up into higher training levels we put our dogs through different training exercises and start really imprinting and solidifying their command work with a huge focus on “stay” which is so important for focus on the human and impulse control for our dogs.

Over the past 7 weeks our team has achieved wonderful success and commitment through their practices.

We have all supported each other every week and also a great way to make new human friends to share fun with outside of training!

Thanks for all the fun legends!! Looking forward to seeing you in the new year and keep up the fantastic practice with your gorgeous doggies!! 💜🙌🏻🐶🐾

A little sneak peak on different private training lessons I do with my clients and their beautiful dogs!

Doing recall practice on the farm with Kia and also working with Oxy (Red heeler) on desensitising his instinct to want to nip out and harass the livestock.

Both are achieving fantastic results with time and commitment to training with their human family!

Private training is tailored to your specific needs. I work with all breeds and ages of dogs and I absolutely love helping people understand their canines and how to get the best results through positive reinforcement training!!

A huge congratulations to our puppy team on your graduation!!

You’ve absolutely smashed your training goals throughout this course and I’ve loved watching the progress and hard work you’ve put in each week!

It’s incredible what we can achieve with our puppy’s and the consistency in your training will further your progress as they grow.

In this course we learn about puppy behaviour, toilet training, prevention of separation anxiety, loud noises, name recognition, mouthing, jumping, crate training and command techniques to strengthen the bond and focus between puppy’s and their care givers!

Congratulations to our Level 1 Obedience team on your graduation!!

So proud of you all and the hard work you’ve put in to your training over the past 4 weeks!

We have achieved so much success as a team learning sit, stay, drop, recall, name recognition, heel, release words and lead handling skills!

Through training we are not only teaching our dogs automatic commands and impulse control with their focus, but educating owners on the best practices to achieve positive outcomes!

☀️🐕 LEVEL 1 GRADUATION 🐕☀️

Congratulations to our Level 1 Team on your graduation!!

Over the past 4 weeks we have been learning lots of new skills and command work!

This level is for any age dog to begin their training journey and a follow on from our puppy pre school course!!

We have been learning how to teach our dogs their commands and showing their caregivers how to achieve automatic outcomes when using command work.

We also start learning “heel” commands on top of sit, stay (impulse control), drop, name recognition, recall and great lead handling skills!

I’m here to guide you through the process and help my clients understand how a dogs mind works and the best ways we can teach our dogs positive reinforcement with amazing outcomes!!

Thanks for the fun each week and you’re all doing fantastic!! Well done!!
