Bowen Dog Training Tara has trained alongside Australian Dog Training (Melbourne) since 2008 and also worked for the RSPCA.

Tara's passion and knowledge in the animal industry has lead her to establish Bowen Dog Training, offering courses and private sessions locally.

🎓 LEVEL 2/3 GRADUATION 🎓

Check out this amazing team of dogs and their humans!! 😍🙌🏻

Over 7 weeks we have achieved so many wonderful results together as we supported each other through the fun of training our dogs!

We worked strongly on lead handling techniques, impulse control skills of “stay” and practice them in all different situations, commands and exercises to achieve high levels of focus back towards their pet parents!
This is the ultimate goal with our bubbas, to see their owners as the calm, confident and loving leaders that they are over any other distractions around them!! 🐶

Love, trust and respect is earned even in the relationships we build with our dogs 💜

It takes much commitment, practice, patience and persistence from owners for their dogs to become successful in their obedience training! We take what we learn and incorporate it into our lifestyles and homes 🏡

Hi All 👋🏻

Just a quick message to let you all know I’ve been booked in for surgery on my hip mid July and I will be off work recovering ❤️‍🩹 for a period of time.

Unfortunately I won’t be able to run any classes before then, but I will be available for private sessions prior to my surgery date!

Please reach out if I can help with your training beforehand and we can arrange a time to book you in!

🐶🎓 LEVEL 1 GRADUATION 🎓🐶

Congratulations on your graduation!

Our team has successfully completed their Level 1 Obedience course and have accomplished many new skills across a 4 week period!

Working on strong impulse control of “stay” as well as sit, drop, name recognition, release words, hand signals and great lead handling skills for their humans!

Education is key when training our dogs to better understand their behaviours and how we can positively reinforce their learning and to strengthen what we have learnt so far with commitment to practice.

Huge congratulations to our incredible team of puppies on your graduation!

It's truly remarkable what these young dogs have achieved in such a short time, mastering key command words and demonstrating impressive impulse control with our 'stay' command!

Understanding our canine companions and setting clear rules, boundaries, and limitations is crucial for their development.

I'm proud to guide both pups and their humans on their journey, empowering them with the skills and knowledge to thrive together.

This team was particularly special, with three sets of siblings learning and growing together, having lots of fun along the way.

Well done everyone! I'm incredibly proud of you all and a magical sunset to top it off! 😍🙌🏻🫶🏻

🐶🎓 GRADUATION DAY 🎓🐶

Congratulations to our level 2/3 team on your graduation!

Over the past 7 weeks we have been working hard with our canine companions and as a team to not only strengthen our bonds, love and trust between us and our dogs but to also to build confidence within the team!

At these levels we focus on improving impulse control, heel patterns, lead drops, lead control, instant sits and drop commands all whilst having fun in a supportive environment to encourage success within our team through may different training exercises and experiences including a night of agility training!

The end goal with consistent training is that our dogs see their humans as the highest value over all distractions around them.

Well done to you all! I could not be more proud of what you’ve accomplished and we have enjoyed each week together! 💜🐶🐾,

Congratulations to our puppy team on your graduation! 😍🙌🏻💕

Over a 5 week course we have had the pleasure of beginning our puppy’s journey of learning new skills, command words and developing important routines to help our pups succeed in the big wide world!

It’s an important time in our bubbas lives as they grow and enter our human lifestyles and homes whilst teaching their humans the importance of “Patience, Practice & Persistence” through the training process!

There’s so much to learn, we have had a wonderful supportive team, in a controlled and positive environment, to allow them to engage and build confidence together!!

Congratulations to our level 1 team on your graduation!! 🥳

Over the past 4 weeks we have watched all the “magic” come alive through training and supporting each other in a fun and controlled environment to help our dogs succeed with their new skills!

We not only begin with strengthening and learning command words, our humans have also become educated on dog behaviours, lead handling skills and how to best reinforce positively what we have so far learnt and incorporate it into their lifestyles and homes!

I’m so proud of you all and I look forward to continuing to support your training journey’s and skill set to develop highly focused and well trained canine companions for life!
