Pet of the Week 🐾🦆❤️

Our pet of the week is Chilli.

Chilli came into the clinic not feeling the best. We have watched Chilli grow from the smallest of ducks all the way to big and beautiful.

Chilli lives with a dog at home and was happy to say hello to another patient Jessie in clinic.

Today makes a day to celebrate and honour the amazing heroes of the industry, who dedicate their lives to the health and wellbeing of all animals great and small.😺🐴

Happy World Veterinary Day to all of our amazing Veterinarians (Dr. Jason, Dr. Mel, Dr. Christie, Dr. Kirsten and Dr. Julien) at Greater Whitsunday Vet Services. Friday Wrap Up 🧡

Late last year we did Santa photos at the clinic, the donations from this was then matched $ for $ by GWVS.

This week Greater Whitsunday Vet Services were able to donate a large amount of food, parasite prevention. and extras to the Bowen Collinsville Pet Rescue Inc.

We know they will get great use out of all these products, and we wish them all the luck with their ongoing help to animals within the area.

Welcome to Bradley our current JCU Veterinary Student! 🚨🚨

Bradley is with us for a 2 week period, where he is able to be in clinic and also assist in the mobile clinic days experiencing, and learning new aspects of the job.

Along the way Bradley will also get to meet adorable patients just like Oreo!

Pet of the Week! 🐾😍

This beautiful boy is our Pet of the Week! Zeus was in to donate life saving blood to another patient.

Donating blood has a strict criteria and Zeus meets each area. He was the perfect patient sitting still and receiving cuddles while he was donating.

In the short time that Zeus was in hospital with us, he won the hearts of all the staff with his loving personality

Pet of the Week 🐾😍

Marnie the Bengal! This little one is our pet of the week. Marnie recently spent some time in the clinic, she was such a cute little character.

Bengal cats are well known to be very active, playful, social and very talkative.

DID YOU KNOW? The Bengal, which takes its name from the scientific name for Asian Leopard Cat (Priionailurus bengalensis), is the only domestic cat that has rosettes like the markings on leopards, jaguars and ocelots. Before this name, they were originally known as Safari Cats.

Easter is coming!🐰

Attention all pet owners! As we approach Easter, we want to remind you that chocolate can be extremely toxic to pets. Theobromine, a chemical found in chocolate, can cause serious health issues such as vomiting, diarrhoea, seizures, and even death in some cases. It is important to keep all chocolate and chocolate-containing products out of reach from your furry friends.

If you suspect your pet has ingested chocolate, please contact us on 4786 1010 immediately for guidance.
