In August 2014 we purchased a 50% Pygmy Buckling from Kazoo Stud who had acquired him from an importer. We had a bit of fun playing around with this line but couldn’t obtain anything that was DNA verifiable, different genetics or higher in percentage to move forward with so we decided to import our own genetics from USA. No BS excuses, we DNA parent verify all animals back to original import stock

and are proud MGBA members. We are a CAE and Johnes free herd and several years vaccinating for CL. We are keen to help get the Pygmy goat established in Australia and offer access to genetics for our fellow breeders to move forward and not be stuck in the inbreeding bottleneck. Australia’s first DNA verified to both parents, Embryo Import 100% PYGMY buck (2022) with his mum (recipient) who is a herdbook Australian Miniature goat enjoying play time. His real mum (100% Pygmy Donor) finally has her genetics in our country, which makes it seven pygmy imports in Australia five of which Patona Park has brought in with progeny on the ground. Embryos from our second import Doe are still in the tank waiting for the next embryo program which will be import number eight for Australia. We have three more bucks (semen) being collected in USA. Exciting times for the pygmy breed in Australia!!!

More August babies, Patona Park Paisley P62.5%, Patona Park Divalicious P87.5% & brother Patona Park Double Trouble P87.5%. The little tan fellow is a wether Patona Park Gremlin P68.75%. These guys are from the Dinsmore Farm Magic’s Mayhem P100%Imp lines 😁
