Almost 2 years ago I purchased Magic Maker F***j KEH (Raj) a rising 8yo unhandled SE Arab stallion. He arrived with many quirks, which we have worked through and after producing 3 fillies for us and a c**t for a friend, he is proving he breeds on great conformation, excellent temperaments and amazing trainability in his babies. We have all had a hand in advancing his training but my Granddaughter has a special bond with him. He has learnt to lead, stand quietly with a mare around (when people are near) and to let out his 'inner clown'. He will do anything for food and if it is in his dish it has to be eaten. I have attached a few pics of his recent progress and of Chance (QH mare 'Last Chance') his latest girlfriend. He has a special love for the fat frumpy mares he isnt really into the 'model' types.

14wks- so grown up already… Where’d the time go?!

A long post, but Ive spent many months stewing, as I do.
With the circumstances resulting in Tess becoming an orphan, in some contorted, cryptic, Universe-knows-best kind of way, it has been a blessing. Obviously, she needed me… but more than anything, I needed her; aside from being the first foal from my own homebred mare she had this uncanny, “familiar” feel. It’s hard to explain. Unlike the more recent foals, I just handled and got ready for sale or keepers to turned out to grow. I loved them all, but the connection wasn’t as strong. With her, it was like ‘coming home’ feel that I haven’t had since I had my Quarab babies. Somehow, Tess reignited a flame that I thought had long burnt out. In her own way, she gave that much needed nudge to pursue what I always loved (just buried for a while). Although she’s only 1/8 Paint, it’s still there! She made realise how much I have actually missed having the Quarabs. It was in addition to a few separate events over the year that made me more aware of what I had… I have spent time processing/grieving that. The breeding stock I had was some of the best I’ve had. Old adage, “you don’t know what you have, until it’s gone…” really hit home. Moving forward, I decided to see what was out there. Many disappointments and numerous road blocks later…. I have landed this little AQHA broodmare - Coorumbene Last Chance. I do find her name ironic! Just arrived today and will be keeping Raj warm at night in good time.…

1992 model pure Arab stallion, Rokewood Solorain (Bart), joined us a week ago as his elderly, former owner of 26 years prepares to move into the suburbs. Bart has settled in perfectly and is very content with his new lifestyle; He is very much looking forward to spring 😉

After stagnating for far too long, I thought I'd give this site a reboot!!
Now down to the bare bones of the stud, we have nothing available for sale at this stage.
**Wootton Royal Decree - 8yo pure Crabbet, now gelding, to be started under saddle in coming months.
**Taju Suzie - 24yo part Arab mare, semi retired/back up riding horse, kindly loaned from Taju Arabians.
**Lanaryn Promisys - 12yo pure Arab mare, hopefully going in foal this year.
** Nehayat Alrabee - 19yo crabbet related broodmare, bought late last year.
**Twice Charmed - 14yo Crabbet/Spanish related riding mare, slowly coming into work (weather permitting!)
**Tanilba Nazika Zaakeira - 7yo Spanish related mare. One of the last original lines (double Mustalla) and not the easiest of mares... she's in for extra handling with the idea she'll eventually go under saddle.
**Echo Creek Devils Eclipse - rising 4yo high% Egyptian mare. Will hopefully be going in foal this year.

Have sold up all bar one Quarab (I am keeping).

Sure has been quiet on the page, so while the (human) baby is sleeping I thought I'd post to catch-up any followers that may be still hanging around.

Mostly my side of the stud (Lazy T) has been scaled down - with still a few being considered available for sale/EOI; which I'll make a new album momentarily.

I really underestimated how little time and energy I would have with having a baby....truly thought I could do it all! I tried and even with extra support, I've felt like I was burning out. With that I decided to scale my Quarab breeding program back to basically just Meeka (and I suppose Rina, if she doesn't sell). So between the two studs we will be moving forward with predominantly the purebred Arabs.

On a side note, I thought it be interesting to mention that after having started on my own breeding direction, with pintos/partbreds to Quarabs and the odd Paint thrown in for good measure...it's taken about 10 years to loop back to where I started...being looked after by a herd of Arabians 😉

Took this photo this morning and I am quite impressed by Tempe's size, at only 2yo and definitely still growing rapidly. Here she is with her half-sister Meeka and Dee (behind), both stand fully grown at 14.2hh.

EeAaTOto nO - in layman's terms, Monte is a bay tobero; if kept entire is able to produce bay, chestnut and black based foals (depending on mare's genetics). He is hetrozygous tobiano (50% tobiano foals)

He is a lovely boy and I am happy whatever his genetic makeup :-)
