LOOK UP: Seven planets to line up this Friday, February 28, 2025. 🪐

A PLANETARY PARADE will take place in just three days, with Saturn, Mercury, Neptune, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars all lining up in the evening sky. This combination will not happen again this decade.

Four of them (Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars) will be visible to the naked eye, while Uranus and Neptune will require binoculars or a telescope. Saturn will be the hardest to see due to its proximity to the Sun at this time.

To observe this event, it is recommended to choose a location with minimal light pollution and clear skies. The planets will appear just after sunset.

I was going through some of the reviews of our Hipcamp Australia camp sites, and noticed that everyone that has stayed in this site, have ALL plonked their camps right in the middle; which is fine by me!

However, I designed this site to host large families or groups, and with that in mind, i cleared some areas that people could park, set up and camp, without clogging the fire pit area, which makes up the centrepiece of the site.

I acknowledge, and advertise that some levelling is required at the site.

However, after seeing every single guest arrive either after a big trip, or a big day, i think levelling a vehicle is the last thing they can be bothered doing.

OR, perhaps the design elements are just simply not obvious enough, or practical enough.

So i spent an hour or so yesterday levelling out some pads with in the site, and clearing some more summer regrowth. 🚜🚜🌾🌾

Looks nicer, definately more obvious, and will help vistors maintain the feeling of openess within the site. I hope ☺️

If you like Farmstay type camping, you should really consider visting us!

Turned an old patch of clay into a small veggie patch...half as a hobby to do with the kids, and half as an experiment.

Used gypsum, horse manure, chicken manure and woodchips I chipped myself to fix the clay issue.

Between the wind, the rain, the intense hot and dry periods of summer heat, the pests, bugs and the many self aborted saplings...it has been a fair effort.

I really dont know how people make a reliable living off growing, specifically organically. There is alot of challenges.

Anyways, we are getting fruit, plenty more still growing and
