Super excited to be sharing my customers successes. Sam Watt recently attended the Show Horse National Championships with her beautiful horses Heiress & Extatic GHP. Both horses claimed titles! Both horses have has incredible topline development over the past 6 months and had a saddle tweek on the Friday before they left for their trip to Sydney 🦄 🏆 .

I attended a fitting recently with this lovely young Warmblood. Check out the damage caused to his wither, suspecting a very poorly fitting saddle, with one of his previous owners. This is clearly not just caused from one ride but a sign of how stoic some horses can be. During the fitting I altered his dressage saddle to accomodate his higher wither and ensure total clearance. Happy horse and balanced rider. Horses with a higher wither need special attention with regards to their saddle tree shape, saddle placement, girth style and saddle pad types.

Just one aspect to consider when saddle fitting but this is a great visual!

The exceptional 'Dracmoore Just Grand', owned by Lani and ridden by Emma Gould, a Horseland Underwood sponsored rider, showcased superior saddle fit, thanks to Emily fitting him with a Bates Artiste Short Flap. Antonn of Terarossa is a rising 8 year old purebred Friesian gelding bred in Victoria by Terarossa Lodge Friesians whom was bought for me by my parents when I was at the time just 16 and Anton just 2.
He is successful in the show ring and this year has been successful in his under saddle debut in his new Albion Fabrento CC dressage saddle.
Being a big moving Friesian with a large shoulder and barrel shape the cob tree has been a great fit for Anton, as well as for me with its deep narrow twist seat and big knee blocks to help me feel secure with that big movement. Emily was very patient with us during our saddle fit as we hadn’t been riding much at the time, I didn’t feel pressured at all. Emily is very knowledgeable and wants the best for you and your horse. We are so happy with our saddle!

Albion Fabrento CC & Roseglen Crown Royale & his rider/trainer Sophie

Roseglen Crown Royale (Fame) is an 11-year-old Arabian derivative stallion and has had an extensive and incredibly successful career as a show horse for Khalid Arabians winning just about everything in the Arabian show world. Some of his more recent/notable achievements include:

We then decided to extend Fame’s education with dressage, and he is proving to be a force to contend with. He has spent this past year competing in elementary level dressage with scores in the high 60% and will make the move up to medium next year. Our long-term goal is to get him to Grand Prix.

Given I’m quite tall and Fame is 14.2hh, with a short and wide back, trying to find a saddle that would suit all those requirements was not an easy task. Emily however managed to fit the Albion Fabrento to him (his first ever dressage saddle) which is incredibly comfortable to ride in and Fame is proving really happy with it. She was incredibly professional and really listened to and valued our feedback to help us find the perfect saddle. Months later, and we are still very happy with the saddle!
