Yesterday we said goodbye to two of our babies.
We said goodbye to our time with In My Belly, and unfortunately we also said goodbye to our Gumpy Old Man Van.
I had a whole social medial post in my mind for today, but that has gone to the wayside as we are filled with all the emotions of losing a family member.
Thank you to all of you for your love and support since our very first market in February 2021. We have grown and strengthened because of our In My Belly Family.
We started In My Belly, because we saw so many likeminded people here on Bribie that wanted the best for their fur babies, wanting to celebrate with dog friendly cakes and treats that look good to the human eye, just like we did for our Bear, Lily and Van. Very quickly that expanded to a point we had regular customer orders Australia wide!
This hobby went from selling 2 dozen Pupcakes and a few woofscuits to the extensive range of treats we had thanks to our local suppliers, and supporters.
It was important for us from the beginning to be and remain local and support local small businesses where possible, and we are incredibly thankful for the connections we have made on both a professional and personal level from this venture.
We have both been working full time, family life, chronic illness, infertility and just life in general, the demands of running In My Belly (from baking, packaging and packing, responding to messages, social media, stock purchases, networking, planning and so much more) have far exceeded the time we have available.
So now we take the time to concentrate on family time, and plan our big move off of Bribie, this is goodbye for now. We will be switching off all socials, and emails, and will not be responding to message emails from today.
We don’t know what the future holds, I know Lauren is not quite ready to say this is it forever, so if anything changes, and we miss the craziness of In My Belly life, we will let you all know by our socials.
