Yea or Neigh Horsemanship Services Providing horse starting and training services and horsemanship lessons I am also available for general horsemanship and riding lessons!

Yea or Neigh Horsemanship Services provides horse starting and education, reschooling and problem horse training. I specialise in working with disrespectful horses and work together with owners to boost their confidence and knowledge in handling further issues should they arise. I have years of experience working with both horses and people - and have spent a number of years teaching children too. I can work with headshy issues, tying problems, float loading issues and more.

Hello everyone!

It’s been a while 😅
In early May I finally welcomed my beautiful boy, Levi Jackson 🩵 The girls and I absolutely adore him! Thank you to those of you who’ve reached out to check in and see how we’re doing. He is just beautiful and the chillest little babe!

I just thought I’d pop onto this page just to give a bit of an update as I’ve been receiving quite a few messages here lately.

Sadly I have made the decision to not return to horsemanship lessons. With child number three and several life changes lately, it’s time for a change of direction so unfortunately Yea or Neigh Horsemanship will no longer be operating as it used to.
I highly recommend reaching out to Audrey at Grey Gum Equine in Kenilworth if you’re looking for lessons!

I will also no longer be taking in horses for training - I simply havent got the time for consistent training (ask cricket who’s been a mostly retired paddock bum for the last 6 months 😂).

We DO still run our Playgroup sessions - these have been absolutely amazing and we just keep growing and growing. Do follow the new page Little Farmers Playgroup - Yandina for updates there on our programs!

It’s been an amazing journey with Yea or Neigh Horsemanship and I’m sad to close this chapter. But very grateful for every opportunity and looking forward to where the future will take me and my little family 🫶🏻

Much love,
Ely, Sienna, Paeton and Levi 🥰

Hi everyone!

I’ve received quite a few messages and phone calls in the last couple of weeks about horsemanship lessons.

Unfortunately at this time I am not taking any new students for lessons, and am significantly cutting back on the sessions I’ve already been providing.

As most of you are aware, for the last 6 years I have continued to provide lessons whilst either being pregnant, carrying a newborn around with me or having a toddler in tow - sometimes a combination of those things!

While it’s been a great blessing to me to be able to continue teaching and sharing my horsemanship passion with you all while at the same time including my family (and I truly am so grateful to you all for allowing me to do so!) - the truth is, it’s exhausting.

It’s not fair to my students when I have split attention on my kids, it’s not fair to my kids to not be giving them my undivided attention, and it’s not fair on myself to try and do it all at the same time!

With the upcoming arrival of our son in April, I’ve made the decision to step back from teaching and enjoy the years I’ve got with my kids while they’re little. Doesn’t mean I’m gone forever - just changing the structure of how I run things as my body just cannot cope with another year of running around with horses and students with a newborn strapped to me.

Perhaps once my children are older I’ll kick off lessons again, but for now I am only continuing a handful of sessions until baby boy arrives.

Thank you all for your understanding and for your support over the last 8 years of Yea or Neigh Horsemanship!

Morning everyone! The rain has stopped but we really had a lot overnight.
Have made the decision to postpone Playgroup today to give the grounds a chance to dry out.

Please let your friends know if you were planning on coming along today!

See you all on Sunday!

We are wrapping up today with my last lessons before Christmas (yes, our Pony Playgroup is still running tomorrow 8-10!), and I just want to take a moment to thank all of the people who have made this yet another amazing year for us.

To all our incredible industry professionals, I truly couldn’t do this without you. YOU are the lifeblood of the horse industry, providing care to equines and their owners all over the coast. Thank you for keeping our team happy and healthy!

Yandina Feed Barn
AllBreeds Stockfeeds
For being the best produce stores a girl could ask for - more like family than the shops we go to for feed. I adore you with all my heart!

Hinterland Equine Veterinary Services - literally the BEST veterinary team anyone could ever hope to have. I’ve had a pretty crap run this year with a few major issues and you guys have gone above and beyond, from blood tests for our pony Pete, to treating our pup Athena for tick paralysis, to being there for us when we lost our beloved Shetland pony Snoopy. You are so much more than just the local vets.

Jessica Fallas for being the world’s best hoof trimmer, a wealth of knowledge, a patient ear when my toddlers have way too many stories to tell, and a downright good human being. Thank you for keeping our herd’s hooves healthy and happy. I am so so grateful to call you a friend!

Stable-Ised Equine for your incredible range of products that keep our team healthy. I don’t think I would cope with keeping horses on the Coast without you and your Practi range. Thank you, THANK YOU for all of your help forming diets, tweaking things, answering my million questions and for doing all you do for horses across Australia. You are an incredible human and you’ve saved our little herd in more ways than one 🩷

And most of all - to YOU. My beautiful students. Nearly 8 years now I’ve been running Yea or Neigh Horsemanship, and I have you all to thank for keeping my dream alive. For trusting me with your journey, for believing in what I’m trying to teach, for being oh so patient and supportive while I balance maintaining my horses, running the farm, working the business and raising my little humans all at the same time. Thank you for trusting me to inspire your dreams, like you’ve done for mine.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas! Have a safe and happy holiday. Lots of changes coming up in the future, thank you for sticking with me, supporting me and being right there alongside me this year 🩷

Lots of love,
Ely, Sienna and Paeton, plus all the horses/dogs/chickens/goats you’ve all come to know and love.

Yea Or Neigh Horsemanship

Have you ever been so frustrated with your horse that you’ve wanted to cry, drop the reins and storm out of the arena? Have you ever been so overwhelmed with “horse world” jargon that your head spins and you can’t keep up? Have you ever been frightened by a bite, kick, strike or rear? Have you been injured or lost your confidence due to an accident with your horse? If you answered yes to any of these questions - you’re not alone! We’ve all been there at some point, myself included! Yea or Neigh Horsemanship Services aims to provide easy to understand, simple ways of communicating with your horse to get you back on track to a fluid and trusting partnership.

I love training horses, but my real passion is teaching people. There is no better satisfaction to me than seeing an owner “click” and have a lightbulb moment with their horse. I am here to help horse owners regain lost confidence, work through problems, and strive to reach their horsemanship goals.
