Lily (Shadow)

Our little runt puppy with a Bifid nose.

Shadow’s (now called Lily) prognosis at her 6-week vaccination was unknown. She was tiny, just weighing 1.29kg at 6 weeks, compared to the other puppies on average weighing 3.4kg. We gave her extra care and feeding, but we did not know if she would survive. She had extra check ups with the vet to monitor her health. It was unknown if she would have health issues in the future.
A kind lady and dog lover had a family friend in Queensland that was willing to take a chance on little Shadow. Lily passed her fit to fly exam and off she flew to her new home.
2 and a half years later Lily is Nikki’s much loved family member. She is happy and healthy and living her best life.
One of our vets said to us that regardless of all the tests we do on breeding animals, not all are born perfect. Just like us humans aren’t.
