I don't know about anyone else, but I feel great after getting my hair done! (Thanks Zoe at Brighton Hair & Beauty ) Puppers usually race around like lunatics after a groom, so I'm assuming they like it too! It could also be that they're just happy to be out of the trailer, but we'll go with they love their new look. 🤔🤫🤣

We got this nasty off little Ruby today and we'll be watching her closely for any signs that it might have been a paralysis tick!
I now have a reminder set in my phone so I never forget a flea and tick treatment again too!

These tiny creatures can pose a serious threat to both humans and pets, particularly dogs. Here's a guide to recognizing signs and symptoms of tick infestations, including the particularly concerning paralysis ticks, ensuring the safety and well-being of your canine (or feline) kids.

2. Intense Scratching and Grooming
3. Visible Tick Encounters
4. Swelling and Skin Irritation
5. Changes in Behaviour
6. Breathing Difficulties and Coughing

Halp! Our Hobart Home is running out of wet food for our canine charges. As you can see, AmbassaDOG Pete is about to faint from hunger — and he’s not even at the Hobart Home.

The doggies like a wide variety of brands. However, chicken flavours always seem to be a favourite. Most enjoy Chum, My Dog and Pedigree but don’t care much for Baxter’s. They generally prefer loaf-style food over casserole styles.

We always want the best for the best for the dogs and love receiving premium brands. But we know not everyone can afford them so we accept all brands except for Baxters. These foods are given to the fussy eaters, usually in small amounts with premium Purina dry food which makes up the majority if their diet. Purina kindly donate this dry food to us.

You can deliver to the Hobart Dogs’ Home in Risdon Vale or place in a collection bin at the Huon Valley Veterinary Hospital, Woolworths New Town, or Petstock Mornington, Kingston, Huonville, Derwent Park or Hobart CBD.

Saw this on Dogs Disclosed and it is true and your pupper can have different combinations of tolerance through out their lives ❤️
Every one of my own puppers have had their own personalities and interacted with other dogs differently. Please don't force your pupper into a situation that is stressful for them, just love them for who they are 🐾🐕❤️

DON’T FORCE ME TO BE SOCIAL!
Do we like everyone we meet? Do we all enjoy socialising and spending time with lots of different people? I certainly don’t and refer to myself as a “caninetrovert” – a person that much prefers to spend time with dogs rather than people. Maybe I’m a little different to the “norm”, but be that as it may, we are all individuals with different personality styles and social preferences.

Some of us are extroverts, gaining energy from interacting with people; some of us introverts, who find people draining and need alone time to recharge our social batteries and some of us are somewhere in between.

If we acknowledge that we are all different in this way, we also need to acknowledge and accept that our dogs are similar.

They could be overly affectionate or fiercely independent, approachable or nervous, energetic or laid back, confident or cautious, sociable, tolerant, selective or reactive.

We may be really disappointed when our dogs turn out not to be the socialite we expected them to be.

Some may even see this as a behaviour problem that needs to be “fixed”. Sometimes it can be improved, especially if the cause is from a negative experience, but genetics, breed tendencies, individual personalities, health and age all contribute to tolerance levels and sociability.

Accept your dog for who they are, allow them to choose whether they want to be sociable or not, respect their choices and never force an interaction that your dog is not comfortable with.

Clean dogs are happy dogs 🐾🐾
While my little staffy Ruby wasn't overly keen on the dryer she was definitely prancing around happily after her bath and she smelt so good ❤️
