⚠️‼️Trigger Warning Blood⚠️‼️

Meet our own Dr Marcus’ cat, Rosie!! Rosie is a 15 year old Burmese and Dr Marcus felt a lump on her neck at home. Upon examination it was discovered Rosie had a non functional thyroid tumour that needed to be removed.

Dr Rhett, our head surgeon, performed surgery and removed the lump from Rosie.

Sadly, after the lump was sent off for biopsy it was discovered that it was malignant. Hopefully we’ve caught it early enough, there’s no evidence at the moment that’s it’s spread. It’s going to be an anxious wait to see if it comes back…

Joe our FIP survivor!

In February our team noticed that Joe wasn't himself. After being assessed by our vets and having an abdominal ultrasound we suspected he had FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) and treatment was started that same day.
With small improvements everyday we knew we were on the right track and continued with his treatment. With medication needing to be given everyday for 84 days Joe went home with some of our staff so he could continue to improve in a home environment.

Now FIP and symptom free Joe is looking for his forever home. He's 8 months old and is such a sweet boy.

To arrange a meet and greet please call Mount Gravatt on 3349 0811.

💫Star patient Nugget.

Nugget is from Little Legs dog and cat rescue.
Nugget has been in foster care since he was a tiny kitten. As he started to grow the foster carer noticed a bulge just behind his rib cage.
On further investigation we found this was a hernia in an unusual place. The abdominal muscles had come away from the back of his rib cage and all of his organs were moving into the hole causing a bulge.
Surgery was performed to close the hole by reattaching the muscle to the ribs.

Nugget will be available for adoption through and is looking forward to a happy future with his forever family.

Kittens available for adoption.

Pawl (black/white) male, -ADOPTED
Purrudence (grey/white) female, ADOPTED
Betty (tabby/tortie) female, 4 months old.

Pawl and Purrudence have been at the Gold Coast and Mount Gravatt clinic since they were 10 weeks old! Both are super sweet, Purrudence can be a little shy at first but quickly warms up. Pawl, well he's the biggest smoocher.

Betty is looking for a home once again, she wasn't the right fit for her previous family. We are looking for a home with no children and a calm environment. She's super sweet and loves to purr, but she also has a tiny bit of tortitude, so someone with cat experience would help.

If you are interested in adopting any of these kittens please call Mount Gravatt on 3349 0811 and arrange an appointment for a meet and greet.
