Our little princess Polly had her first litter just before Christmas with four beautiful boys and one young lady. Polly is doing so well and all of them are little chubby and fluffy babies. I couldn’t be any prouder of Polly and I’m very much in love with each and everyone of them. 🥰

They are 5 weeks old and it’s really exciting to watch those little bundles grow.

Merry Xmas to all our Czarina Russian Blues friends and family.
We just received a lovely Merry Xmas greeting from Max and his human family sharing with us how much joy and love that he is surrounded by, this is a big part of what inspires us to breed these beautiful blue cats.

Last weekend, Queensland Feline Association (QFA) announced their cat of the year. We haven’t been present as it was someone else’s very special birthday weekend (Hannah turned 4). 😊

But oh dear, what an achievement with QFA for little Polly Rocket. Polly has been awarded

1. Reserve shorthair kitten of the year in regional QLD

2. 3rd best shorthair kitten of the year in Brisbane metropolitan area.

We did not see that coming and are so grateful for Queensland Feline Association Inc and especially Nadine N Luke Savage for putting together such a beautiful presentation.

Our special gratitude goes again to Mel Gould from Golash Russians for allowing us to be Polly’s slaves, chauffeurs and entertainers. 🙏🥰💙

What a year it has been…

Time to reflect and look back on a year of so many shows, welcoming and raising our first litter of beautiful little rascals and saying good bye to them with a heavy but happy heart.

We couldn’t be any prouder as the little girl we welcomed in January into our family „Golash Czarina’s Silver Pearl“ aka Polly or Polly Rocket 🚀 did so very well.

Polly has been awarded third best shorthair kitten of the year with Cats Queensland (CQI). Thank you to Cats Queensland Inc. for a great year and the amazing award!

Well done little Polly and a massive shout out to the breeder Mel Gould who entrusted us with this little power rocket. 🥰🚀💕

Last Cat Show for 2024
Today we were at the FCCQ 3 Ring show @ Strathpine.
We had our 2 kittens in show today. There were 17 entries in the shorthair group 3 kitten rings.
Both Clair de Lune (Luna) & Miss Blue Jean Baby (Baby) placed best in breeds and both also took out a Reserve in Show each.
Today was the last kitten show for Luna and when shows recommence in 2025 she will be in the adult entire class. Baby will still be in the kitten class until April 2025.

Today we said goodbye to our little boy Mr President ( aka Charlie ). He has gone to live with an amazing family that will ensure he has his best life in front of him.
It really warms our hearts when we see the happiness that these precious little babies bring to their new families 💕

UPDATE- Mr President has found his new forever home.

This little boy from Miss Monroe’s litter is looking for his new forever home. He will be available from Saturday 9th November. He has a very affectionate and friendly nature and loves to cuddle and purr on our laps.

Group 3 Kitten ring @ today’s Cats QLD show.

Luna (6 months old), Mr President & Miss Blue Jean Baby (both 14 weeks old) all showed in the kitten ring today at the last Cats QLD show for 2024.
There were 21 group 3 kittens on show today in 3 judging rings which included 5 Russian kittens.
Luna had 2 best of breed and 2 overall placings of 4th & 6th.
Mr President had a reserve of breed and a 10th overall placing.
Miss Blue Jean Baby had a reserve of breed and a 9th overall placing.

This is great advice for anyone that is starting the process of trying to find a new pedigree kitten of any breed to join their family.

Here are some important tips on how to spot pet scammers and avoid getting caught when looking for a Sphynx cat.

1. Talk with Your Breeder:

Communicate directly with breeders to build trust. Genuine breeders will happily answer questions about their cats, breeding practices, and processes.

2. Visit Breeders at Shows or Expos:

Research and attend cat shows or expos, where breeders exhibit their cats. Look up the shows they’ve attended or check their results online to verify their reputation.

3. Verify with a Registration Body:

Contact recognized feline organizations (like Ancats or QFA) to confirm the breeder’s registration. Look up if they are listed as a breeder with the body and cross check area, name and phone numbers. Registered breeders are more likely to follow ethical practices.

4. Video Call (FaceTime/Zoom):

Request live video calls to see the kittens and their living conditions in real-time. Scammers typically refuse or make excuses not to show real footage.

5. Price Too Low:

If the price is too cheap compared to market value, it’s likely a scam. Quality breeders charge for the care, genetics, and health of the cats, so beware of deals that seem “too good to be true.” Sphynx kittens are usually around $2500-$3500 AUD.

6. Overseas Contact:

Be cautious of breeders located overseas with no local presence. It’s harder to verify their legitimacy, and scams often involve complex overseas shipping schemes.

7. Check Their Social Media:

A legitimate breeder will often have an active page or other social media with genuine interactions from real followers. Be wary of profiles with few or strange followers.

8. Strange Websites:

Check the breeder’s website for legitimacy. Poorly designed or outdated websites, as well as incomplete information, can be red flags.

9. Time-Stamped Photos:

Ask for recent photos of the kittens and compare them over time. Scammers may reuse old or stolen pictures, but legitimate breeders will provide updated pictures as the kittens grow.

Following these tips can help you avoid falling into the trap of scammers while ensuring you find a trustworthy breeder for your new Sphynx cat.

Today we both sadly and excitedly said goodbye to our Mr Black boy, now known as Max. He has adopted an amazing family that he will over time train to be his devoted human slaves.
His new family has already confirmed and shared some pictures showing that he has settled in and made himself very much at home and sharing the “Czarina Russian Blues” love ❤️
Have an amazing life Max, we are very proud of you 💙
