I have been grooming Golden Retriever Jessie for Many years now. I love that she takes full advantage of relaxing during her grooming session. To have every dog relax and feel safe and calm during their visit is the most important part to me.

Grooming a dog is an intimate process.
To be able to achieve a squeaky clean, blow dried and hand scissored dog, trust must be gained.
What a privilege it is to gain that from a dog. ♥️

Did you know that up to 80% of dogs are estimated to have dental disease by the age of 3?
Dental disease is inflammation of the teeth and gums caused by a build up of plaque and tartar. This can not only be very painful for your dog but can also lead to many serious health problems.

Dental disease can be avoided and prevention is key! 🤩
Methods of prevention include:
• Regular teeth brushing with a dog safe toothbrush and toothpaste.
• Providing your dog with single ingredient, dehydrated dental treats and chews - get your dog chewing!
• Regular grooming - having your groomer shave around your dogs lip line to prevent hair and bacteria sitting in the teeth.

Ask us about our preferred dog safe toothbrushes, preservative free, single ingredient dental chews and our maintenance teeth cleaning at your next grooming appointment. ✨

To help you keep your furbabes coat knot-free and in top condition between grooms we have sourced the best grooming tools and hair products to ease you into it. Every product that we stock we also use here in the Bam & Moo salon! Our Slickers, combs, hair treatments, shampoos and conditioners are all available for purchase! 🛍🛁✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Note: doggy jumpers/coats can often create friction under the coat and can in turn cause knotting and matting. It’s important to brush your dog at least 3 times a week, not only to keep a gorgeous fluffy coat but to look after their skin too! Longer coats require daily maintenance!
If you need assistance we offer brushing tips and techniques to our clients and brush out appointments in between grooms! 😊

PSA: Long nails are not just a cosmetic issue! 💅🏻 🐕

When a dog has long toenails it can actually change the way his or her paws interface with the ground. Nails that are too long can negatively affect both the posture and gait of your dog.
Long toenails make it hard to grip slick flooring, making the dog more likely to slip and cause injury.

Routine nail trims are a must. Every 3-4 weeks is ideal depending on your dogs breed, age and level of activity. Some dogs may need trimming more frequently.

Remember to check your dogs nails! Don’t just wait until your next grooming appointment (you may need an extra nail appointment in between)🐶
