Hazels’ pups are now 3 weeks old and have just opened their eyes. They’re starting to move around albeit clumsily to begin with. They can recognise human faces, if you hold a puppy up and make eye contact, then slowly turn the puppy away from you, it will slowly turn its head the opposite direction to maintain eye contact. The connection with humans starts very early in a dog’s life and it is amazing how innate it is. Early socialisation, including regular human contact and exposure to a variety of normal everyday sights and sounds, is an integral part of developing a resilient and well socialised adult dog.
These guys are doing really well, they’re all active and alert and growing quickly! This week we will start the weaning process with the pups by gradually introducing solid food into their diets.
I have received numerous email responses for this litter and will responding to everyone in the next few days ☺️
