This is Chilli! She is a 13 year old Staffordshire Terrier. Chilli was presented to us with this very obvious lump! The owner had approached previous vets but none were confident in doing the procedure.

Dr. Kyle (who loves a challenge) agreed to do the surgery. It was a big operation and Chilli handled it exceptionally well. With regular laser treatments, the wound will be almost unnoticeable once the hair has regrown.

The Owner of Chilli says that she is happier than she has been in a long while and she can sleep on her left side again.

WHY HARPER WHY?

"Harper" the 7 month old Golden Retriever presented at Bellbowrie Vet Surgery with acute vomiting. X-rays soon revealed that something dense and of substantial size was lodged in her intestine. Harper went straight into surgery and a large solid steel object was removed.

The owner identified the object as a counter weight for a treat dispensing toy that Harper had destroyed.

Harper had a swift recovery and has managed to stay out of mischief so far!

Skeeter's Eye Opening Surgery.

Skeeter the 6yo Border Collie was born with bilateral eye defects from a genetic disease called Collie Eye Anomaly. His right eye was very small and non functional and his left eye was slowly losing vision as a result of rare disorder called corneal conjunctivalisation.

The tissue of his conjunctiva was growing over the cornea and the little sight he had, was slowly being lost. When Skeeter presented at Bellbowrie Vet Surgery he was swinging his head around trying to see what was in front of him.

Dr Kyle performed the delicate surgery a few days later. He carefully cut away the overgrown conjunctival tissue and connected it back to the periphery of the cornea so the eye was as close as possible to the normal anatomy.

Skeeter's owners were overwhelmed by the outcome of his surgery and Skeeter is enjoying life more than ever.
Attached are photos taken before and after the surgery.
