Have you ever seen a snake shed? 👀 🐍 Jerry the python started his latest shed! All animals shed their skin (even humans) but animals like snakes shed a whole layer at once. Snakes will usually shed every couple of months. But why?? 1. While a snake continues to grow, it’s skin doesn’t. So it needs to shed to make room for a better fitting skin. 2.Snakes have eye caps instead of eyelids. Days before a shed, a snakes eyes become opaque making it difficult to see.
