Welcome to the Luna Rae family, Willow the Whippet!!
She's such a sweet soul who's been accepted into the program and will be in training with us over the next 12 months, at which point she will sit her PAT (public access test).
Can't wait to get to know Willow & her pawrent better over the year 💕

💜🖤 Meet Samson & Luna 💜🖤

Double the trouble or double the fun?!
We loved visiting these two cuties this week for some training around wildlife avoidance. Both dogs, especially Luna, love chasing the bush turkeys, possums, lizards, and potentially snakes if they had the opportunity.

I bought along some toys on fishing line that look similar to real animals and incorporated them into our wildlife avoidance training.
This training was SUPER hard for Luna, whose instinct was to chase them down, so we are taking some steps back and slowly building this up again.

Rest peacefully, baby girl 💔
Our first and last photos together.

'Evie' is a Hebrew word translated to mean "life", and symbolised hope and vitality. And that's exactly what she was. Full of life, hope and vitality! With the biggest smile and goofiest nature.

As a hardcore Staffy lover, I was beyond thrilled 3 years ago when I got a call off a woman who just brought home an 8-week old Staffy and wanted our help getting her settled in - our 5th ever booking with Luna Rae!!! Swipe to see her tiny head with ridiculously cute flopsy ears! She was so chompy and jumpy 😄 especially with her beautiful little human brothers, but eventually she learnt the way of the world and was the centre of her family's lives.

Since then, I've been seeing Evie every week for house visits and walking sessions. I saw her grow and mature and she was a well-known name in our own house too telling stories of her exuberant nature 😍 💖

My favourite outings with her were to Kedron Brook where she'd gallop in the water like the horse that she really is! 🐎 🐎
She made a boyfriend with the Bull Mastiff in a neighbouring house and they'd try to play with each other through the fence - naturally quite the force to be reckoned with!

Sadly, this is where Evie's story turns.

About two weeks ago, her parents noticed she wouldn't eat any food, or would throw it up, shaking, wheezing, and generally didn't seem herself. After numerous vet visits and overnighters, the vets confirmed that she had very late stage lymphoma cancer 💔
Evie's mum asked if we wanted to come over to say goodbye, and of course we did.

Today her family gently put her to sleep and eased her of her pain. Our heart goes out to her mum, dad and two brothers who are grieving the beautiful soul that she was.
Gone far too soon at just 3 years old.
Thank you for inviting us into your home, your lives, and trusting us as you have.

Chase those lizards in peace, Evie girl.
I will remember you forever 🧡🧡🧡

🌹 Meet Harley 🌹

The tiny, lovable, adorable 8 week old Shih Tzu X Maltese puppy that stole our hearts this week.
Her pawrents have been communicating with us since before Harley was on the scene, discussing different breeds or personalities that may be suitable to co-exist safely with their adorable piggies (swipe to see!).

And now that she's here we came over for a visit to chat all things toilet training, crate training, setting up for success with departures, and answering all those tricky questions that Google searches left them scratching their heads with what the right answer could be.

What a pleasure it was to work with them all!!!

We are incredibly thrilled to welcome little Xander Michael to the Luna Rae team ❤️

He was born on 19th June, healthy and well.
Michaela and the family are all doing great and are over the moon with our new addition.

We are also so proud of Alpha for how well he has adapted to baby Xander coming home. Such a good boi 💙

We will be taking some time away from training clients for the next few months, but can't wait to be back doing what we love!

Happy 10th birthday to our wonderful boy, Alpha!

He is happiest when his toes are wet and his nose is sandy, with plenty of room to spread his wings 💕

We owe a huge debt to Alpha for all his time demo-ing in videos, practising new training ideas, and allowing our family to grow with loud little humans.

We love you Alpha 💜 You are the best listener and learner!
