Teething is going well! All the pups have their needle sharp milk teeth and are putting them to good use on everything 😱

Puppies explore their surroundings and learn to play much like a child- with their mouths. This can end in some rather painful playtime moments.

This is an important time to begin teaching playtime manners. When puppy bites too hard, be sure to remove yourself from the game, pairing it with a yelp or light yell (as an injured pup would do). This will signal that they took it too far and need to calm. Once your pup has settled, praise pup and then playtime can resume. It can also help to redirect their aggression to toys that they can chew on, again using positive reinforcement to let puppy know it's okay to bite the toys.

It's imperative that toys be checked over on a regular basis for any loose bits or choking hazards. Anything falling apart must be thrown away, and just like a toddler, if it can fit in the mouth, it can be swallowed.

The goods arrived today, and now our puppy freezer is all stocked up and ready for our to begin solids next week.
This is a big step in the puppy rearing journey where mum begins weaning and guiding them in the Rules of Dog. It also allows mum to relax and eases some of the pressure of nurturing her babies from her own body (a natural part of the process).
To make the transition as easy on the puppy tummies as possible, weans onto Lyka, which we find so highly nutritious that our pups rarely experience digestion issues with the introduction of solids, as well as during the transition from birth home to furever home.

Our Europe Litter have begun wobbling around, practising their little barks (the cutest thing!), play fighting, and learning to recognise the sounds of our household.

They're a delight to snuggle!

We're thrilled to announce Winnie's litter arrived this Tuesday. It's a full house of cuteness right now! The Barkingham kids have dubbed this the Big Hero 6 Litter, comprised of five girls and one little prince.
Winnie did an amazing job during delivery and pups are feeding heartily.
We're looking forward to watching both our litters meet and play together in just over a month!

Our Europe litter are growing so quickly!

They're becoming more mobile everyday however, still spend the majority of their time asleep or feeding.

Paris opened his eyes today, thrilling the kids.

Athens has been the most chill so far, snuggling right into our hands and falling back to sleep.

Paris and Prague are the most vocal, giving us tiny growls and yips, letting us know they're not pleased about being disturbed.

It's incredible watching their little personalities unfold, even at this early stage with eyes and ears still closed.
