My wife, Sasha, and I (Marcel) absolutely adore animals, and have spent a large portion of our life together rescuing and caring for them. We met whilst teaching English in China in 2017… during our two years there, we rescued, vaccinated, desexed, and rehomed three street cats. Due to our different passports (me: Australian, her: South African), we couldn’t return to our home countries without be
ing separated from one another, so we went to the only country whose borders were still open to us both: Thailand. We cared for many street dogs while we were there, volunteered at Rescue PAWS animal shelter in Hua Hin, and also found ourselves living next door to a pack with 11 malnourished puppies. Despite all the effort we put into caring for them over many weeks, and numerous vet trips in an attempt to save them all, 10 of the 11 died of parvo virus…. She is now living her best life with the most loving family in the U.K. Nothing brings us more joy than the wonderful updates and pictures we receive of her from her owners. In October 2021, we were finally able to return to Australia… and we now care for animals in a different way, to care for your pets when you can’t. We know that life gets busy, and that you sometimes simply don’t have the time to walk and play with your pet as much as you would like to. We know that life gets stressful, and that you often need (and deserve!) a holiday. That’s where we step in – we simple care for your pets when you can’t, as though they were our own.
