Parvo / Pound Mission Update - Please share.
It feels like a lifetime ago when we were all excited and full of hope for these 15 gorgeous babies to arrive into care and start their new lives.
It is almost impossible to believe it has been just 7 short days.
Parvo has nearly broken us, and it cruelly stole little Chance from us, but together we are still here and still fighting.
Olive, Baxter, and Juno are still receiving 24-hour care but are not improving as much as we would have hoped.
But we continue to give them the best we can and hope their strength and will is enough to pull them through.
On the positive side Murphy continues to slowly improve and the others appear to be keeping well.
Our vet costs have spiraled, and we need to acknowledge the outstanding financial support you have all offered to us β you have helped us get through each day and made ongoing treatment possible.
Every single dollar you have donated has been put towards saving these babies.
We are so humbled and will be forever grateful.
As we wait for updates and hopeful improvements today, we are turning our attention to our planned volunteer trip to the heat/parvo-affected pound.
The ranger there is still battling alone, and every animal is in serious danger.
Holidays spent with our incredibly understanding human families are a thing of the past for our team.
Luckily, we have our rescue family to spend time with on a dusty outback road trip.
Our dreams of purchasing all sorts of supplies have gone out of the window with these vet costs but we are not giving up and we will still be going there next week.
We have had some amazing donations, and we have plenty of food and sheets to take which is just awesome.
Fans, cat towers, towels, storage containers, metal buckets, etc. are still very much needed.
We are today trying to source some Parvo battle kits and are hoping you may be able to help us.
We are happy to pay for these items but thought maybe we could get help with sourcing them cheaply or at discounted rates.
We also need to be able to have them here by the 27th which is an added challenge.
Please help us out be sharing with anyone who may be able to help and ask them to PM Us β we donβt see comments on shared posts, so PM is so important.
