Our trainee Oakley has made huge progress with his training in the past couple of days and we’re so the proud of him! 🥹

Oakley has a TONNE of love to give everyone he meets, so it was important we gave him the tools to interactly calmly when the time is needed. Through this training process, we have also introduced a place command to build a solid foundation of relaxing confidently alone ☺️

At the end of each training session we finish with lots of pats and cuddles! Our little apprentice Nash was in charge of the love and he chose belly and foot rubs! 🤣🐶 As you can see, Okaley was happy to embrace this fully!

Okaley is working on his place and wait commands at the park around low stimulus. We use a long lead in this exercise, incase he moves and we need to jump in and gain calm and safe control while working at a distance. ☺️

Oakley (left) and our resident girl Lacey (right) are near identical and we have a feeling we’re going to be calling them both the wrong names a fair bit 🙃😅

This is Oakleys first night with us and we love seeing dogs have a blast from the moment they arrive! 🤍🐶

We love all animals here at The K9 Centre. Sadly yesterday “Tony” our Cichlad passed away. Tony was not just a fish…he was a cherished family member who was full of character and a good mate to “Cathew”. We miss you..!

😍HOW CUTE ARE HER FLOPPY EARS! We are forever putting them back the right way 😂

Lainey is staying with our trainers to begin her foundational training. We’ve begun with introducing her to a retractable lead to get her used to gentle pressure and guidance with lots of love and encouragement 🤍

We can’t wait to see her grow and continue to flourish! 🙌🏻

Our beautiful trainee Stella 🐕

Stella is staying with our trainers to work on all areas of her training and development.

Stella spent the arvo working on her recall and meeting a Boxer puppy. She did amazing!! 🙌🏻

She is one happy girl!
