We've gone barking mad, and we're taking part in the PAWGUST challenge to raise funds for Guide Dogs Australia.
Rain, hail or shine, this August, we will be turning up the heat with our heated hydro baths, washing and blow-drying our way to our fur-real goal of funding ONE guide dog from start to finish!
Did you know it costs in excess of $50,000 to breed, raise and train just ONE Guide Dog?! With thousands of dogs being trained each year, every dollar counts. We need your help so that together, we can create a world where everyone who needs a Guide Dog has a Guide Dog.

This will be my 3rd year participating PAWGUST events. Previously I have teamed up with clients and other local businesses.
Through these events I have made connections I otherwise would have missed, from new clients, supplies, pet photographers (that spawned other events) to event venues that now host my franchise on a reliable regular basis.
This year Guide Dogs have reached out in support of our various events with an offer to provide educational talks and training demonstrations.
I think it would be amazingly rewarding if we teamed up as a franchise. If you haven't previously operated at an event and find it all a bit daunting this could be your time to dip your toe and give it a go! You may surprise yourself!

For those who want to do events I'm here to help. I may not be familiar with your areas but I can pass on contact details for Guide Dog resources in your area and help find venues to host an event! As well as assist in any operational questions you may have.

Now is the start of our winter grooming routines!
We offer Mini-Grooms throughout the colder months ensuring that your furry friend stays warm, smelling fresh, feeling fluffy and ready for cuddles!
Mini-Grooms involve the standard full heated hydrobath service, blow dry, line brush, nail trim and ear clean but also include the sanitary groom and face trim so that Mr/s fluffy doesn't come out of winter blind and looking like Chewbacca
Some maintenance tips over the winter months for our longer coated furbabies, longer coats means more brushing to prevent matting ensuring our brush bristles are long and rigid enough to get through the entire coat, not just the top, always check your work with a straight comb, if you can't get it through cleanly, keep brushing
Everyone agrees and thinks that they look amazingly cozy in their new winter outfits, but when they're warm inside the house or the sun is out remember to take them off, their skin and coats still need to breathe and the pressure points from the jackets same as their collars can cause matting
Our calendar is always very full, it can be a struggle, if you can't get a spot online please reach out via phone and we will do our best to accommodate or add you to the waitlist, we usually work through our waitlist by the end of each week.

I am personally a big believer in variety is best! Nobody wants to eat the same thing everyday!
But if you change their food around too much this can cause some tummy upsets by throwing out the balance of good and bad gut bacteria!
Some of them suffer from grain allergies that can affect their skin, leaving them with hives and/or hair loss.
Some are just plain picky!
