We are loving the support of our fabulous clients to get the centre up and thriving again.

Experience with disabled riders or willing to learn and complete qualifications essential. Must be able to do after school hours, groups up to 4 riders and some Saturdays.

"I went to equine-assisted counselling last week because I was struggling with a relationship that was starting to trigger my anxiety. I knew I needed to get help to put in place boundaries that supported my mental health in that relationship.

As soon as I started talking about my situation, I became very emotional. The counsellor helped me recognise the physical impact of my emotions and to process them.

As we sat on a rock in the paddock observing the horses, I noticed that when my anxiety was high, the horses didn't want to know me. When my energy calmed and I became more present the horses came over to me. "

When I left my session, I felt a greater sense of peace and I look forward to continuing my equine-assisted counseling sessions to build my resilience.

I definitely needed the counsellor to guide me and I definitely needed the horses to show me how to be more present."

At The Grounded Equine, I am all about helping horses help their humans through Equine Assisted Counselling & Mindful Horsemanship Coaching. Sometimes, the horses need some support themselves to be able to show up in a safe, relaxed & confident way. Kash had developed some anxiety around floating. Here is my 3rd session with Kash, helping him regain his confidence to make the choice to step into the float. I allowed him to make the decision to step back out again until he was able to fully relax inside the float. Demonstrating this to his human allowed her to build her own confidence to trust Kash & herself. When Kash's human is able to attune to the needs of her horse, he will be able to trust & show up for her in a more positive way.
