Our fast growing company is expanding and our friendly Sales team and is seeking to hire motivated and driven sales consultants to support the sales and marketing of our products. We are seeking self-confident, high-energy individuals who are interested in learning and growing with our company. The primary responsibility of the Sales Consultant will be to contact our existing customers on a weekly basis, as well as follow up on leads for new customers. Experience and knowledge of the pet industry is preferred, however we will train the right person.

This is an office-based role under direct supervision of the Sales Manager and senior management. You will be part of a friendly team that is focused on:

Building and managing relationships with established customer accounts
Inbound and outbound calls, taking and generating orders from an existing customer base who have a very high awareness of our respected brand
Identifying and taking advantage of opportunities both within the existing customer base as well as the broader industry to grow sales
Upselling and cross selling across a unique and interesting range of products
Increasing the range of categories purchased by each customer
The successful candidate will possess the following qualities:

Experience in Customer Service and Sales
Pet industry experience in Aquarium and Reptile is preferred but not required, however, is desirable.
Outstanding communication and customer management skills
Quick to absorb, retain and apply new information and processes
A professional and confident phone manner
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a close knit team
A great attitude, enthusiasm and a passion for your work is essential!

Pisces Ambulia is looking better than ever, and can't wait to get into your tanks!

This beautiful aquatic plant is native to the waterways and marshlands of Southeast Asia, Ambulia has become a very popular bunched plant in the aquarium trade for its delicate lime-green foliage. As they are a marginal aquatic plant, they require reasonably good light. Its delicate foliage makes great protected habitat for fish fry.

Pisces is Australia’s largest ornamental aquarium fish producer, supplying the pet and aquarium industries country-wide. Located in quiet leafy Brookfield, we have been operating for over 50 years, and continue to be a family owned and run business.

If you are passionate about aquariums and fish keeping, and are looking to take your hobby to the next level, Pisces is the place for you! Work with our in-house marine biologists and experienced production managers and learn how the market leaders produce fish on a commercial scale.

This position is ideal for anyone looking for a career in professional ornamental fish production and husbandry, with plenty of opportunities for career progression.

Good knowledge of freshwater aquarium fish is preferable, but not essential.

About the role:

The successful applicant;

will be fully trained to identify, pick and pack hundreds of varieties of ornamental fish
will be fully trained in ornamental fish husbandry and production techniques
should understand the importance of safety in the workplace and adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and your team
must have attention to detail, and be willing to learn
must be able to work well both in a team, and at times unsupervised.
must be able to follow directions enthusiastically
must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week), with occasional over-time (with loading) to ensure all daily tasks are completed.
Will receive superannuation and leave loading in their pay
Must be reliable, prompt and hard working
must have their own means of transport as public transport is unreliable.
Please note: this job requires working in heated commercial greenhouses, and it is essential that you are capable of working in warm, humid environments.
