If you've ever walked barefoot on a hot footpath, you know the pain it can cause to your feet! Our dogs don't have shoes to protect their paws from the heat, so it's up to us to ensure that the surfaces they walk on are comfortable for their little paws.

Wobbles is ready for 2025! 🎆

As we prepare to welcome in the New Year, we know that cats and dogs have particularly sensitive ears so it's important to consider them when it comes to noisy events.

Here are some tips to ensure that your pets cruise comfortably into 2025:

✨ Create a quiet space in your home that your pet can retreat to. Make sure they can still easily access their water and litter box.
✨ If your pet wears a collar, make sure your contact information is clearly visible in case of any unplanned adventures.
✨ To prevent pets from panicking & escaping, keep windows and doors to the outside closed.
✨ Provide plenty of exercise early on in the day so your pet doesn't have excess energy adding to their nerves in the evening.
✨ If your pet seems unsettled, provide plenty of pats and cuddles to distract from the commotion. However, some cats prefer to be left in peace when they are stressed.

Tick Trouble 🌿🐾 What started off as a peaceful stroll quickly turned into a tick-spotting sprint! A vigilant owner noticed a tick near her dog's eye and quickly brought the pup in to Centenary Vets to have it safely removed. During a thorough examination, our team discovered and removed 13 additional ticks that were attached and crawling through the dog's fur. These included both non-toxic Cattle Ticks as well as Paralysis Ticks. After walking through grassy or overgrown areas, give your pet a thorough, full-body check for ticks.
