Never ok

It is NEVER OK 🙅‍♀️ to keep a native animal for any period of time when trained and licenced volunteers are only a phone call 🤳 away. In fact, it's actually illegal 👮‍♂️.

This poor girl was taken from her dead mums pouch and kept for 5 days 🖐 with 2 broken limbs 🦵 because the finder refused to hand her to wildlife carers 🏥 or take her to a vet 🩺. To make matters worse, her injuries are also possibly from being removed from the pouch by her legs. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 🙏 never do that either. Advice on how to safely remove a baby 👶 from a pouch is also only a phone call away.

Sadly 😭, because she didn't receive the immediate veterinary care 👩‍⚕️ that she needed, we couldn't save this precious baby 🪦💕.

One of our carers Em Vic Breeze shares- My possum Sweet Pea went to Kerrys for pre release on the weekend. And this is my new baby “Peter” (named by me) that came from Kerrys verandah possums. He is very chubby bubby. Still timid around me but I think he and I will be friends eventually.

Hey all you Beautiful Souls, it's Jenny here. I'm heartbroken today as my gorgeous little Ringtail Sangria grew her angel wings a few hours ago. We lost little Merlot on Monday but I spent alot of time with Sangria and she was thriving- we were even thinking about getting a new friend for her. Glen tried everything, ultimately all we could do was comfort her until she crossed that rainbow bridge. This one has hit us both hard, I'm going to miss you my little cuddle buddy 🥺

Good morning Beautiful Souls, Jenny here to share a video of myself with Yang our smallest Brushtail Possum. I'm enjoying the little time I have left while he still needs me. When they move to a cage they begin to become very independent and our interactions decrease (it becomes all about the food and leaf) as we prepare them for the big world 💖.

I also said goodbye to Carl & Ellie our Squirrel Gliders as they also went with Sue. It's a big hit letting go of 7 babies in one go, especially after loosing Chocolate Thunder on Tuesday. We now have 5 brushies with us- Frankie & Grace, Yin, Yang & Honey. It's amazing to get them to this - a win, no doubt about that but this Wildlife Caring Gig is just as much an emotional as it is a financial commitment. Missing you already 🩷 Jen

Saying goodbye to Jasper, Jewel, Skylar, Blade and Faith this morning before Sue picks them up to go to their new home in Blackbutt while they get ready for release. I'm a little jealous as I've seen where they're going and I'm going to miss them all so very much. Cue the tears 🥺😢😭 ♥️ Jenny
