Something a little different.
On a whim I decided to enter the creative class at Brisbane Groomerthon.
No placings for me and Flossy, which I knew going into it would be the case, as I decided to enter with less than 2 weeks to prepare, and Flossy didn't have enough coat growth to make a notable difference.
I'm still very happy with how she turned out given I havnt done any creative grooming in a couple years. All in all a fun day, and was great to catch up with some groomer friends I hadn't seen in a while 😊

Rest now my boy.
It is with much sadness and heartbreak that I must share that there will be a presence missing from the salon from now on.
My boy, thank you for all the years as my loyal protector, my best friend, my right hand man.
Thank you for all the late night adventures you rode shotgun on when I first got my licence, thank you for making me feel safe whenever we travelled alone. You were there for me through my teenage years, you saw me through becoming a adult, and we nearly bid farewell of my 20's together. This evening as the sun sets, please raise a toast to my boy. We enjoyed nothing more than sitting down for a quiet drink and taking in the afternoon glow together.
I look forward to seeing you again one day when I make it to the other side, until then, chase all those trucks, swim in all the creeks, roll in all the grass.

The look of disgust on my face says it all. Videos from todays mass surrender operation. Today a call to action was put out, and the grooming community answered the call. Today myself and a bunch of other groomers dropped everything to go and help with a bunch of dogs involved in a mass surrender. Over 50 dogs freed from their hair prisons today. This is just a couple of the poor babies I did today. Helping Paws need donations and Foster carers. There are hundreds of dogs involved in this mass operation. I'm on holiday this week. Which essentially means I've swapped working with one species of four legged friends to another for the week. This is herd bull Rocky, my absolute favourite big boy that I'm ridiculously in love with. Sharing because as far as I'm concerned everyone needs the joy of watching Rocky. And who doesn't enjoy animal videos popping up on their page.

The salon is closed until 14th November. The rat pack and I are on our last holiday for the year. I'm having a break from all things work related including correspondence. So all messages that come through this week will be replied to after the 13th. Thankyou for your understanding 😊😊

The happiest of birthdays to the light of my life, my canine soul mate, my confidant, my daughter. Miss Imani. Although I of course completely love and adore all my dogs, Imani to me is that once in a lifetime friend that entered your life right when you needed that shining star to light your way through the dark. Happy 6th Birthday and here's to many more to come.
