As a dog mum, I was constantly searching for nutritious and delicious treats for my furbaby, Sky. Each visit to the supermarket or pet store involved sorting through numerous treats, only to be disappointed by the lengthy, complicated ingredient lists full of unhealthy additives and preservatives unsuitable for dogs.
Taking matters into my own hands, I began creating Sky's treats using simple, clean, human-grade ingredients that I knew would be beneficial for her. This marked the start of our dehydrating adventure. By dehydrating chicken and beef using the right methods, we could make tasty, long-lasting treats without the need for unhealthy additives like salt, sugar, or preservatives.
What amazed me was Sky's ability to distinguish the difference. She always chose our homemade treats over store-bought ones because she could smell and taste the difference in the quality and freshness. Our journey led us to develop healthy, Australian-sourced products with natural ingredients. While Sky enjoys her fair share (must be the pug in her), we are eager to spread the love and share these goodies with all pups.
Our philosophy revolves around simplicity and transparency, offering Paw Picnic treats made from a single ingredient with no additional additives.
