Here is some great information from the RSPCA. There is a lot of information going and a lot of worried people. I am working on being prepared not scared.
Make sure you have enough dry food and fresh water and if your dog is sounds sensitive and scared of storms, consider talking to your vet for the possibility of using some medication.

ENSURE YOUR PET HAS IDENTIFICATION

TIPS TO ENSURE YOUR PETS ARE SAFE
🏡 Create a safe and secure space for all of your animals
🐴 Watch out for debris, incoming waters and unsafe damage to surrounding properties
🐶 Don’t tether pets if outside - they may do themselves more harm trying to break free.
💧 Provide access to water and food in heavy bowls if outdoors.
🐱 Keep your pets (including cats) indoors.
