🔥🥵 Temperatures have soared today and are expected to stay the same tomorrow! There has been a heatwave declared in several regions. ☀️
Extreme heat can be dangerous for pets, so it's more important than ever to keep your pets cool and safe.
🌡Never leave pets in a parked car! Even on mild days or in the shade, a car's interior can heat up rapidly, reaching life-threatening temperatures in minutes.
💧Make sure your pets always have access to plenty of fresh, cool water.
☀️Give your pets a cool place to rest in the shade or, if possible, bring them indoors near a fan or air conditioning.
🐶 Avoid walking your dog during the middle of the day. Hot pavements can burn their paws, so stick to early mornings or late evenings. Freeze treats or water with kibble inside for your pets to lick and enjoy. Even simple ice cubes can be a refreshing way for them to cool off.
🐈 Though cats are normally pretty self-sufficient and stay cool by seeking shade and limiting activity, they can still overheat.
Regularly brushing and reducing the volume of your cat’s undercoat can help keep them more comfortable.
☎️ If you think your pet has overheated or is suffering from heat-related issues, call us on 07 3277 6594 Or either of the emergency clinics on:

🚨 Urgent Reminder: Always Help Strays 🚨
This sweet 4-week-old kitten was dumped at a park with his siblings in a cat house, left with just enough food to survive the day. At this tender age, they’re far too young to be away from their mom and still need formula, not solid food! 💔
Luckily, this little one was rescued by a kind-hearted human and is now safe and cared for in a loving home. 🙏
If you ever find a stray animal or need to surrender one, please don't hesitate to reach out to My Own Vet for guidance and options. We all have the power to make a difference. 🐾

At My Own Vet, we're proud to provide service to amazing animal charities, providing Gold Standard Veterinary Care to animals in need, including those without a home.🏠
Today, one of these incredible organizations brought in 12 beautiful, socialized kittens, all looking for their forever homes. We’re so grateful to be part of their journey and to help these little ones get the care they deserve. 🐾
Needless to say, both Dr. Paddy and our vet nurses fell in love. Nothing cures a bad day like a KINDLE of kittens!🐱
