We still have small amendments, plans for new floors & a Catio to build but we are so so happy to announce The Nook is OPEN!!

The Kitty Nook just leveled up 📺

To our lounge area for our Kitty guests we have just added a TV.

Does this mean your Cat can binge watch Cat TV on YouTube?
Of course ... It's their holiday too!

Is it also for the humans?
Obviously, we need an excuse to binge watch friends for the 100th time while keeping our feline friends company!

At the Kitty Nook we want the experience to be as close to a home environment as possible to ensure a seamless stress free holiday for our residents. 😸
The idea of introducing a TV is to add familiar sounds & sights to The Kitty Nook, similar to what cats would experience in their own home.

Meet Boston 😸

Boston's story is one of my favourites...

After a quick day trip to Boston in July 2023 me & my Dad got delayed on our return journey by 2.5 hours due to engineering with the aircraft ✈️

We made it back to Edinburgh very late & still had to make the journey to my parents house which is approximately 2.5 hours from Edinburgh. In my Dads true style we took the back roads for the Scottish Scenery & the "shortcuts"

We turned a corner and in front of us in the middle of the road was a tiny ginger kitten, no house, no mum, no siblings in sight.

I jumped straight out and scooped him up, put him in my little backpack to keep him safe.
We made the joke we would name him Boston Red Socks 🧦

(He has white socks, he's ginger & we just got back from Boston)

The rest is history after a microchip scan & vet check it was deemed he was abandoned, unsure if it was by his own mum or humans.

He now lives his best life roaming the golf course behind my parents house, sleeping in front of the fire & definitely indulging on too many treats. I look forward to my trips back just see him 😽✈️

Chuck's been busy rounding things up for 2024 🎄🎁

We are now closed until January due to a long overdue cold Christmas in Scotland 😸

It's been an amazing year of fostering & renovations... We look forward to showing off our new cat rooms & website that will launch in 2025 & seeing all our fluffy friends in the new year 🎊

Meet Belladora, Bellatrix & Trevor 🐱

Last Sunday these three little orphans were brought to us and we set to work getting them settled and healthy. This is their first weekly update!

It's been 7 days of scheduled bottle feeds, limited sleep & lots of snuggles but all 3 babies are thriving & have started eating on their own.

~ On arrival Belladora weighed only 360g. She was quite weak and scared and we were concerned about her fading. Belladora is now 500g and loves her milk, treats & a good head scratch.

~ Trevor came in at 440g & was the happiest of the bunch. Trevor is now 550g and is usually busy climbing the cat tower just to sit at the top and judge anyone who enters the Nook.

~ Bellatrix came in at 460g and definitely was not a fan of humans. Bellatrix is now 600g and the snugliest of them all, a non stop purr machine and loves to head bop you on the nose.

We would like to thank Furever Rescue for taking these babies in as surrenders & allowing us to foster them..when the time comes these babies will be up for adoption via their main page, so if you would like to follow their journey jump across and like the Furever Rescue page 🐱

🎉 KITTY NOOK LAUNCH DATE 🎉

We are very happy to finally announce that the Kitty Nook will be open for bookings starting from January 2025 😸
(more information to come)

6 months later than anticipated, but it's definitely gave us time to plan & create an even better version of The Nook than we originally imagined.

Whilst working our way through the renovations we have still been opening our door to 2 wonderful rescues & fostering some of the most adorable fur babies.
Something we will continue to do whilst the Kitty Nook is in action!
