** ALERT - PARALYSIS TICKS **

We have already had TWO paralysis tick cases for the season over this last week. Please ensure that you are up to date with your pets tick prevention and that if you are going into the bush or to high tick areas you are performing daily tick checks on your pets.

Common side effects of paralysis tick:
- Incoordination
- Weakness
- Collapse
- Vomiting or retching
- Change in sound of bark or meow
- Difficulty breathing

Thank you to her pawrents for bringing in cake to share with her friends (& cheeky little staff cake) which we all very much enjoyed & appreciated!

Happy 4th Birthday to Lily!

Our pretty princess what very happy to have an outdoor day, a little lay in the dirt (& then a birthday bath) & obviously playing with her best friends Riker & Toby!

Lily also enjoyed her favourite snack - frozen Broccoli & Cheese!!!

We did have a princess photoshoot for her birthday of course 🥰🎉

Kudos ❤️‍🩹

The Oz Wagtails family are mourning the loss of this big gentle, loving giant. Words cannot describe how much of a shock it was at the news we received yesterday.

To his paw-rents, Amy & Stuart; words cannot describe what it is like to loose a part of the family. We thank you for sharing Kudos with us & allowing him to be apart of our daycare family.

We will always remember the sweet dog that would sneak up behind us & gently lean against our legs for a pat when he wanted attention. We will miss laughing when he chooses to sit with the girls behind the desk instead of going home with dad, or watching him roll around in the area's being the complete do**us he was. You were the most gentle & patient dog when it came to treats & would always patiently wait your turn. When we went to the beach, you were definitely the most eager to get in the water. During our Thursday bath days, you were definitely the one dog to ensure all the staff got equally as wet, but we always welcomed it because of the cuddle you would give in the process.

It is definitely going to be an adjustment not to see him in the area everyday & it will be an adjustment not to see two wonderful clients at the end of everyday.

Our thoughts are with his family & we will forever keep him in our hearts.

Rest in Peace Kudos 💚💜💚💜💚

PUP-QUTERIE PAWTY 🎉

Happy Birthday to Abby!

This little lady celebrated her birthday with us today & got a little snack platter to share with her friends 🐾🫶🏼

Her paw-rents also organised watermelon to go around as well! She spent the day having a roam around outside & of course plenty of cuddles with the staff in the area.

Let's talk about this photo. It's cute, except it's not. I see a dog who cannot get up without telling the child to get off. How do you think a dog is going to do that?

The 7 Golden Toddler Dog Rules:
#1: If a dog walks away from you, you DO NOT FOLLOW.
#2: Always leave room for the dog to walk away from you.
---that right there is 90+% of dog bites eliminated---
#3: We do not climb on the dog.
#4: We do not grab or pull on the dog.
#5: We do not hit or throw anything at the dog.
#6: We do not touch the dog's food.
#7: We do not go into the dog's kennel.

I promise these are not overly difficult concepts for littles, nor will they rob a kid of their bond with the family dog. It will deepen that bond, while keeping everyone safe.

"Oh, it looks like Moose is walking away from you. She is saying she wants a break. Let's play with this instead!"

"It's Moose's dinner time! Let's give her space to enjoy her yummies."

"That is Moose's room(kennel) and only she is allowed to go in there."

"If Moose wanted a break, could she walk away from you right now? No she really couldn't. Let's move away from the play house. You can keep playing but now she can leave when she wants a break."

In conclusion, ***parent your child or your dog will do it for you, and you will not like how they do it.***
