We’re so excited to introduce Sara, the newest addition to the Taringa Vets team! Originally from Ireland, Sara begun her career as a vet in a mixed practice for 1.5 years, where she discovered her passion for surgeries and dentals. While she’s waiting to sit her exam to become a qualified vet here in Australia, Sara will be working with us as a vet nurse—and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board!

When she’s not caring for furry friends, Sara loves spending time outdoors and playing football. She’s already been a fantastic addition since starting with us and we can’t wait for you to meet her.

Be sure to give Sara a warm welcome when you see her in the clinic! 🐶🐱✨

After nearly four incredible years with us, our amazing vet nurse Chiarra is off to broaden her horizons and take on new challenges in her nursing career. We’re so proud of her drive and ambition but will miss her terribly—from her hilarious blonde moments to her endless love of food (and those unforgettable cravings!).

Chiarra has been an integral part of our team, always ready to dive into any role and bringing her creativity to our social media. Taringa Vets won’t be the same without her, but we can’t wait to see her shine in her next chapter.

Mr. Gizmo had his big boy surgery (aka castration), and while he was a champ, he found his wound site a bit too interesting... so now he’s rocking the infamous Cone of Shame! 🐶🩺

He might not love it, but we think he looks absolutely adorable in his stylish new accessory. 😆👑 Hang in there, Gizmo—it’s only temporary!

Looks like this playful pup took "fetch" to a whole new level by swallowing the whole tennis ball! 😱🐶 Unfortunately, that game plan didn't quite work out and caused a blockage. Thankfully, our team was able to step in and surgically remove the rogue ball. 🩺✂️

We’re happy to report that our furry friend is recovering well and sticking to treats instead of tennis balls from now on! 🐾❤️

🐾👑 "Hi, I'm Lord Dudley! I came in for my puppy vaccines today, and guess what? I was SUCH a brave boy! 💉🐶 I got so MANY treats and cuddles for being extra good. The vet said I’m a little champ, but I already knew that! 😉🐾 Can’t wait to come back for more snacks and snuggles!"

Meet Chi Chi, Our Pocket-Sized Pup!

Chi Chi, the mighty Brussels Griffon, is tipping the scales at only 2.4kg! 🐶 We're pretty sure a few of our chunky cats out there are giving him a run for his money in the weight department! 😆🐱

Size may be small, but Chi Chi's personality is BIG with such a sweet and loving nature! 🐾❤️

💙🐾 **Farewell to Our Wonderful Vet Nurse, Jenn!** 🐾💙

Today, we say goodbye to our amazing vet nurse, Jenn, as she embarks on an exciting new adventure in a different industry. While we’re incredibly sad to see her go, we are so proud of her for taking this brave step in her career journey!

Jenn has been an integral part of our team, providing care, compassion, and endless support to both our patients and the team. Her sassy Irish charisma, dedication, and love for animals have left a lasting mark on all of us, and we’ll miss her dearly.

Thank you, Jenn, for all of your hard work, your kindness, and your positive energy. You’ve touched so many lives here, and we know you’ll continue to do great things in your next chapter! 💖

🐾🩺 **Case of the Day: Uroliths Removed!** 🩺🐾

Recently, we performed a successful cystotomy on a brave pup to remove 11 large uroliths (bladder stones) ranging from 1 cm to a whopping 5 cm in diameter! 😲 These smooth stones were causing discomfort and urinary issues, but thanks to the surgery, this pup is feeling much better and on the road to recovery. 🐶❤️

Bladder stones can develop due to several factors, including diet, infection, and genetics, and they often require surgical removal to prevent further complications. We're so glad we could help this sweet patient get back to feeling healthy and happy again! 🩺✨

If you notice any signs of discomfort, straining to urinate, or frequent urination in your pet, be sure to have them checked out. Early detection can make a huge difference! 😊
