Vet Nurses: If you’re wanting to feel more confident in handling emergency patients, we’ve got you covered. Starting in March, our Elevate Emergency Nursing Program is 100% online, and bridges the gap between GP and emergency nursing.
Some studies have found that vets are more prone to burnout than the general population… Sound familiar?
Burnout can creep in quietly, but its effects can feel overwhelming. If you’re feeling constantly exhausted, unmotivated, or detached, it might be time to pause and reset.
🔍 Signs of Burnout:
• Feelings of helplessness or failure
• Lack of focus, creativity or motivation
• Increased irritability
• Physical symptoms such as headaches, lack of appetite or insomnia
✨ Ways to Avoid Burnout:
1. Set Boundaries – Protect your personal time. Learn to say no.
2. Take Breaks – Rest isn’t a reward; it’s essential. Schedule regular pauses.
3. Move Your Body – Physical activity can help release stress.
4. Prioritise Sleep – Good rest fuels productivity and mental health.
5. Connect with Others – Social support is powerful for resilience.
6. Reflect & Reassess – Check in with yourself often. Adjust your workload if needed.
👉 Remember: Your well-being is the foundation of your success. Take care of it. 💙
