This Valentines Day we celebrate the life & loves of Loki.
There is nothing like the love we feel for our babies & what an honour it is to be a part of their beginnings & a deeply sacred privilege to help them cross the Rainbow Bridge when that time comes.
So this V-Day is for you Loki, his beautiful family & for all of those hearts missing their angels today.
When people talk about muscle memory there is no muscle more capable of that than the heart.❤️
❤️Thank you to Lokis family for reminding us of this pic from 2015 & for their kind words on Lokis passing. We feel your sadness❤️
Love like this never goes away it changes
Into the sweetest memories & we carry them with us forever. ❤️

⚠️IMPORTANT MICROCHIP UPDATE FOR PET OWNERS
Soon HomeSafe ID, the microchip registration database used by AWLQ , RSPCA , many vets and rescue groups will no longer be functional
This means you will no longer be able to access the database to update details or identify your pet if it goes missing . We thus urge all our clients to check what company your pets microchip is with and if with HomeSafe ID register them with another company to keep them safe and easily identified if ever they should become lost.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
*Check your pets microchip Registration at Pet Address http://petaddress.com.au This will tell you which company your details are with . If you' re unsure of your microchip # we can scan your pet for you
*Re -register with another company if your details are with HomeSafeID . You can either do this by phone or online for a small fee set by the new registry
*It is also a good time if you are not with HomesafeID to check your details are correct with the registry you are with.
If you pet's registration is not updated and they become lost , vets, councils and shelters will be
unable to view your contact details when scanning the chip. This makes reuniting you with your pet
much harder
Please check NOW - this will ensure your pets future security and safety. ⚠️ https://petaddress.com.au

Owen is looking a bit sorry for himself because he got into mums over the counter pain relief.
After some fluids & treatment, (along with some one on one E-Collar time with Floor Manager Jake 😂 ) Owen got the all clear & was beautifully reunited with his mum. ❤️

This is the look of a sweet angel who doesn’t know what she did to deserve ending up at our Hospital being made to vomit.
Aspen (unfortunately for her) gobbled up some dropped spring onion quick as a flash before mum could stop her. Aspen only weighs around 2kg so any amount of onion toxicity can make her very unwell.
Mum knows of the dangers because her mum is our Qualified Vet Nurse Kathryn.
Just as quickly as Aspen gobbled the offending spring onion mum raced into the clinic where she was made to expel the dastardly onion.
With no harm done Aspen was back at home playing like nothing had happened the same evening. ❤️
Onions are toxic to dogs because they contain compounds called N-propyl disulfide and thiosulfates, which can cause hemolytic anemia. These substances damage red blood cells by making them more fragile, leading to their destruction (hemolysis). This reduces the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood, which can cause symptoms like:
• Weakness and lethargy
• Pale gums
• Vomiting and diarrhea
• Rapid breathing or panting
• Increased heart rate
• Dark-colored urine
Even small amounts of onion (raw, cooked, powdered, or dehydrated) can be harmful, especially with repeated exposure. Severe cases can require veterinary treatment, including IV fluids, oxygen therapy, or even blood transfusions.
Super happy you are ok Aspen & you will continue to bring joy to every visitor to your home. A very sweet, funny & precious girl ❤️

We understand that consistency in care builds trust - seeing the same veterinarian every visit ensures a deeper understanding of your pet's health and a stronger bond with their health care professional.
MRVH is a 24hr small and large animal veterinary hospital, but that does not mean that when you are booking a vaccination or wellness check up for your best friend that you cannot see the same consulting vet.
Next time you are making an appointment let our helpful Client Support team member you would like to see the same vet your saw last visit. (Even if you cannot remember their name 😆)
Consistency is the key that can unlock the cure for anxiety and fear and there is nothing more we want than for your babies to be excited to see us. ❤
Book that vaccination, choose your vet and build that bond. ❤

Toby has been a favourite of ours for many years. Equine Nurse Assist Lin along with many past & present staff of MRVH have cared for cheeky Toby, (even celebrating one of his birthdays with him).
Thank you to Toby’s mum for entrusting Toby into our care for such a long time. 🤍🤍🤍

Manly Road 24hr Veterinary Hospital
By your pets side when you cannot be.
If you could tangibly see love for animals in the form of say a bright star that glowed brighter with every pet that walked through our front door, that star would be so dazzling it would light the world. That star would guide home any pet that had lost its way, light your darkest of hours and you and your pet would feel the safety of its comforting glow as it shines above our Hospital that has been here for over thirty years.
Thirty years of disease prevention, surgical procedures, medical proficiency, comfort, sadness, joy and indescribable relief. We are here for you and your pets 24hrs a day every day of the year. We never close. Ever.
We are an Animal Emergency Hospital and Veterinary Clinic. From Castrations to Cataract surgeries, from Ultrasounds to Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, from Vaccinations to skin abrasions it all happens here. Manly Road 24hr Veterinary Hospital is a culmination of exceptional Veterinary care from both the Small Animal Hospital and Equine Unit. With expansions currently underway to increase our facilities that sits on over 5 acres of land in scenic bayside suburb of Manly, QLD.
We do not just treat our patients medically. To truly heal a pets body you have to comfort their soul as well. Sometimes just sitting with a patient offering a comforting touch with a soothing voice can have them home with you again in no time. Medicine is an irreplaceable tool but our Team are the vessels that provide the freedom from physical and emotional constraints.
We are your Manly Road 24hr Veterinary Hospital and we are here for you. Your pets are members of our family and we do not forget you when you walk out the door. We are only here because of you, for you and we need you as much as you need us. It’s a partnership.
A Pet Partnership.
