One of ROLDA’s New Year goals is promising a safer, better future for each dog we save.
Thanks to our supporters, in the past, we kept our promise to dogs like Ilona🐶 .
When we rescued Ilona, we prayed it wasn't too late. Her head has double the normal size because of a severe infection, which was left untreated. Dogs living on the streets don't have access to medical care, because there is nobody there to see their pain.
Often, they die alone, in agony, which would have happened to Ilona in a matter of days. We can only guess the cause of this infection, maybe an injury from a sharp object or a bite from another stray dog. Ilona was in such a terrible shape when we rescued her so we rushed her to the clinic. Luckily, she's a fighter and survived the most critical 48 hours. After that her general health started to slowly improve. A few months later, our colleagues from Sweden 🇸🇪 transported Ilona to her forever home in Sweden where she lives a spoiled and happy life.
