Raven and her family were very excited to see her bandage art this afternoon! She was the perfect patient - even posing for our little photo shoot ๐ธ#bandageart #indooroopilly #indooroopillyveterinaryclinic #perfectpatient #jurassicpark #bandage
Our team at IVC just completed a vital CPR refresher course at Animal Emergency Service in Jindalee. We're committed to being ready for any emergency that comes our way! ๐ชWhy is this important? Because when seconds count, having a well-trained team can make all the difference. We're proud to keep our skills sharp and our readiness at its peak. ๐ฅRemember, knowing CPR isn't just for healthcare professionals - it's a life-saving skill everyone can learn. #CPRTraining #EmergencyPreparedness #indooroopillyvet #TeamIVC
Cuddles in Clinic!
In clinic, we have two voices - the one for human interactions & this one - for giving your pets a little bit of love while theyโre away from you! Lulu came in for her op-wanted desexing procedure and we managed to catch this little snippet of her post-op with some of our team members! ๐พ We want you to rest easy knowing your pet is in the best hands and getting lots of love, as if they were our own ๐ #indooroopillyvetclinic #indooroopilly #postop #canine #operationwanted #lotsoflove
This handsome boy came in for a dental procedure recently, and we got some chin scratches in while he was in recovery. His face may not say it, but he was pretty happy with his little cocoon bed to hide and snuggle in. #indooroopilly #ivc #indooroopillyvetclinic #CatHealth #feline #dentalcare #dentalscaleandpolish #postop #recovery
Another beautiful release: this time of a kingfisher that was brought in! With our wild animals, we perform an exam to identify obvious injuries or illness. If all is well, we start to work towards releasing them back home (sometimes where they were found & sometimes just around the clinic). #wildlife #wildlifewednesday #birdrelease #ivc #indooroopilly #indooroopillyvetclinic #kingfisher
We are well into our 3rd stage of renovations and the final works have begun! Weโve got access to new and improved consult rooms and let me tell you, we are in love with these spaces! #indooroopilly #vetclinic #renovations #upgradetime #nearlydone #ivc #indooroopillyvet
The best valentine you will ever have - your pet! Make sure youโre getting lots of kisses like us in clinic ๐
Recently at the clinic weโve been seeing an influx of Lorikeets with LPS - Lorikeet Paralysis Syndrome.
This disease affects them by causing paralysis/weakness of different areas of the body - most commonly the wings and hind limbs. Because of this most cases are unable to fly and/or walk.
While the cause of the disease is not fully understood, RSPCA, Wildlife Carers and Vet Clinics are having some success with intensive treatment if brought into care early enough.
If you find a lorikeet in need of veterinary attention, please take them to your closest veterinary clinic or the RSPCA. We also urge everyone to remember that when handling these birds, although weak, they can still be rather spicy. Use a towel to protect your hands when picking them up.

National Walk your dog Month
Did you know? January is National Walk your dog month!
๐พMake sure youโre only walking your dog when it is cool enough for you to be able to touch the ground yourself. Consider early morning or late afternoon.
๐พ See what your dog thinks of a sniff walk - let them decide your path for the day following only their nose.
๐พ Make sure you provide fresh water at the start and end of your walk.
๐พ Try to enjoy the walk as much as your dog!

Another Wildlife Wednesday: This beautiful cockatoo came in last week - he was a bit shaken up, was recovering quickly and otherwise healthy. Which is great news - time for release! He was a bit rocky in the beginning of his flight, but quickly got his bearings and off he went!
Check out Ham enjoying one of his visits mid-walk. He definitely knows how to show off for his greenies! We are happy for any dogs to come into the clinic for desensitisation, to say hello, practice jumping on the scales and enjoy the clinic environment without the scary things happening! ๐#greenies #tricks #canine #desensitisation #indooroopilly #ivc #indooroopillyvetclinic
