There’s always a training opportunity when with your dog….waiting for the dog park is just one. Excellent for practicing self control and impulse control, especially when they can hear and see dogs running around in there😊🐶

Our Gorilla experience🦍
In short, Definitely met & exceeded expectations!
How privileged I felt to be roaming amongst these majestic creatures, such an overwhelming, emotional experience❤️

So much to tell, but for those who are interested, here are some highlights…
* 530am wake up
* Quick breaky & on the road by 630am
* After a 30min drive, Meet our gorilla guide for a brief, and our small group of 6 team mates (8 including us)
* Jumped in our 4WD to head up the mountain to get as far as we could before heading on foot. The bumpiest ride I’ve ever been on😳 This drive took us 1.5hrs
* Finally made it to “base camp”this is where we start trekking
* Most of us were busting to go to the toilet after the bumpy ride!…oh dear….had to use “the bush toilet” (mortified)🤦‍♀️🌳
* Off we went up the mountain on foot. The terrain was insane, but I loved the feeling of really being in the jungle…not to mention a great cardio workout😀⛰️
* After about an hour of trekking (all up hill), we started to hear the sounds of the gorillas!
* The guide stopped us and said we were nearly there…. OMG, getting excited!
* All of a sudden they were literally on top of us! We were surrounded…..OMG! I couldn’t believe it. My first feeling was being scared, as I was one of the first team members to be faced with one. I said…OMG, OMG there’s one just there! The guide said, it’s ok, ITS OK, it’s all right (tad embarrassed😂)
* We spent the next hour with the gorillas….A-mazing!
* Little babies everywhere
* Adolescent ones rolling down hills and playing
* Running through us constantly
* Was scary sometimes as the bigger males, or silver back would come past…he looked scary! (But gorgeous😍)
* Our guide got chased by the big male silver back! He accidentally got too close pushing a bush back and he was right there! Big daddy wasn’t happy and took off after our head guide! I swear this guy ran across the top of the jungle. Luckily it ended well and no one was hurt. We all had a great laugh afterwards😊 Wish I got that on video😂
* It was time to say goodbye to the gorillas and start our hour trek back down the mountain
* Bush toilet time again🤦‍♀️😂
* Realised I lost my Apple watch…but found it!…miracle!🙏
* So many more stories
Best experience ever🥰👏🦍

African lion adventure part 2 - tracking down Mumma with the baby cubs❤️
Much more energetic today, at nearly 4wks old learning how to walk and explore. Mum will move the cubs every few days to keep them safe (so the den doesn’t start to smell like them). The cubs will even stay still and not move for a whole day alone while Mum goes hunting to find food. Cubs have about a 50% chance of survival but this Mum is very experienced and a great Mum. Her name is Scare, and believe it or not she’s 14yrs old!! Lionesses can live up to 16yrs, she’s absolutely gorgeous and seems to be the best Mum🥰
