🌟🌞 UPDATE 🌞🌟

I thought it about time I give you all a bit of an update. I’ve been pretty quiet on here the last year or so.

I’ve had to make the decision to take a few months away from training. A lot of changes have happened in my life over the last 18 months or so and the time has come where I need to take a step back and work through some things. I’m looking at gradually coming back to doing some training later in the year but it’s likely initially to just be classes for the time being. Any 1 on 1 sessions still outstanding will of course still be honoured.
I’m more than happy to recommend other trainers if you’d like me to.

Thank you for bearing with me! I’ll be spending some much needed time with this cheeky pair of course and I’ll be back before you know it!

I’ll still be doing harness fittings and making snuffle mats so please get in touch if you’d like either of these!

I recently did some more work getting Doobie used to his rucksack carrier. His Dad enjoys long bush walks but occasionally they can be a little too long for Doobie so this means he doesn’t miss out! He’s such a little star and always takes everything we ask him to do in his stride 💞🐶

This gorgeous girl is Olive! She’s a ridgeback x cattle dog and is such a happy little lady. Her family asked me to come over to help work through some typical puppy behaviours such as biting, chewing and crying when left alone. She is so much fun and we had a great session! 🥰🐶

This is something I feel extremely strongly about. Our dogs should have the ability to be ‘normal dogs’. Of course they need to fit into our lives but that shouldn’t be at the detriment of them being able to be themselves 💞🐶

Meet beautiful Teddy!

I’ve done a couple of 1 on 1 sessions with Teddy and his guardians and what a little star he is! He’s a Danoodle and believe it or not is only a baby! He’s an incredible little boy and has picked up the training so quickly. We’ve looked at focus exercises, loose lead walking, stay, wait and targeting and he’s smashed it all! Keep up the great work - I can’t wait to see him again 😍🐶

Does anyone else think he looks like my Buddy?! 😱

LIFE SKILL CLASSES

I have 2 new rounds of life skills classes starting within the next few weeks!

Tuesday 28 March at 6pm

Saturday 15 April at 8:30am

These are held in Samford Village and are for dogs over 16 weeks old and covers all the basics with a strong focus on loose lead walking, recall and settling around distractions.
Only a few spaces left on each so get in touch to book your spot!

This gorgeous trio graduated puppy school a few weeks ago. A huge well done to Holly, Spike & Shinja - we missed lovely Leo but all puppies did so incredibly well and were an absolute delight! 🥰🐶

*BUSINESS UPDATE*

Hopefully this will be the last time I have to apologise for being so slack with posting!

Those of you that know me well know what a rollercoaster the last 12 months of my life has been. I’ve had a huge amount of support from my wonderful friends and clients who have also become friends. I am extremely lucky to have these people in my life and wanted to say thank you to each and every one of you for showing me patience and love during this time.

This has led me to have a big rethink of what I need and how I run the business. I’ve been working 6 days a week and it is just becoming too much. I’ve been completely frazzled and exhausted. So something needed to change.
As a result I have decided that I will be limiting training sessions on a Saturday to give me a chance to rest & recharge. For anyone who already has Saturday sessions booked, these will of course go ahead and if you want Saturdays please do still get in touch as I will open up some Saturdays every 4-6 weeks or so. I will still run some Saturday classes but will also be looking to run a class on a weekday evening. I’ll confirm days and times for this once I’ve heard back from the venue. I’ll also have much more availability on a Monday daytime now too.

This change should mean that I get the time I need to recharge myself and still be able to run the business effectively. I love this business and everything we have achieved and you all deserve to get the best from me which wouldn’t have been able to happen had I not made these changes.

Thank you all for your amazing love and support - it truly means the world to me. I can’t wait to continue helping you with your wonderful dogs and here’s to another wonderful year ahead 💞🌺🐶🐴

I met this little stunner a couple of weeks ago - isn’t she gorgeous?! This is Molly. Her family wanted some help with her loose lead walking & greeting people before they went off to travel the country! She did amazing job & is such a wonderful girl. She’ll make the best travelling companion 💞🐶

I caught up with Piper a few weeks ago & she’s making huge improvements with her reactivity to other dogs! We managed to get closer than we have done previously & she coped amazingly. Her parents have done such a great job with here & I’m looking forward to catching up with them soon 🥰🐶

Sorry for the silence lately! It’s been a mega busy few weeks & feel like my feet have only just hit the ground!
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Finnigan. He’s a beautiful boy but struggles when left alone & gets very excited when meeting new people. We talked through some strategies to help him & ways to help him feel more settled. His Mum has done an incredible job with him & I have no doubt he’ll continue to thrive! 🐶💞

A wonderful client of mine has been transporting dogs and pups from pounds to their new foster homes.

Here is a note from her:
Unfortunately These dogs come with nothing, not even with a collar and lead 😞 which I have been supplying plus a small toy and a comfy blanket to lie under.

I would truly appreciate the donation of any second hand leads, collars or other dog related items

PS the rescue is Qld Staffy and AmStaff Rescue

I also caught up with Frank recently for the 3rd session of his package. He’s growing into a beautiful boy & is 6 months old now. We worked on his recall & loose lead walking & he got to have a great play with the water from the hose! He’s doing so well & has slotted into his families life perfectly 🥰🐶

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting this beautiful man, Lenny a few weeks ago & then we caught up again on Monday. He’s so switched on & such fun to train! We looked at focus work, targeting, loose lead walking, stay & started some mat training! So looking forward to seeing him again in a few weeks time 💞🐶

A few weeks ago saw the end of 2 rounds of Life Skills classes! Huge well done to all of the dogs - what massive steps forward for all of them in their training! We have Harriet, Tillie, Summer, Ghost & Sally but missed Cyrus, Bronson, Zouga & Harry!

The last class of the year started last week & I can’t wait to share all the beautiful dogs with you!
