I promise plenty of personalised, one-on-one love, care & attention :) I come from a family of cat-lovers: I was lucky enough to grow up with kitties at home, and at both my grandmothers' homes :) It was such an exciting day for me when I met my own soul kitty, Caesar - a better 18th birthday gift a girl could never hope for! After 19 extremely special years together, sadly I lost my Caesar in Fe

bruary 2017.....

I couldn't imagine my home without a feline directing traffic! So I began caring for my friends' and family members' kitties whilst they were away on holidays, interspersed with some foster babies through AWLQ. On a whim, I put the word out to see if any locals might have furbabies in need of care whilst their families were away, and was both surprised and thrilled to find how many other cat-lovers there are in my neighbourhood! Along the way, two of my foster babies - Jagger & Bowie - purred their way into my heart, so once again I became a proud kitty mama to two cheeky little tabby dudes! I continued to foster for AWLQ & Happy Tails Animal Rescue, and oopsies, I foster failed again: welcome to my quirky black beauty, Sabine, and my hilarious, FOMO ginger ninja, Logan ;) Cheeky Jada joined the gang the following year (I promise, that's it!!!)

It's truly been an honour and a privilege to be entrusted with the care of your furry family members, and I very much hope to continue to welcome them into my home :) It's been a revelation getting to know each kitty: their personality, likes & dislikes, and quirks! Some make themselves at home as soon as they walk in the door, whilst others take a little longer to settle......regardless, you can rest assured that I'll do everything in my power to make their stay with me as comfortable and stress-free as possible :) I have three separate "kitty suites" for the exclusive use of your kitties (each consists of their own room, and exclusive access to their own outside secure cat enclosure) - feel free to have a chat with me about which space is likely to best suit the needs of your furbaby. All cats find it unsettling to be in a new environment - some take longer than others to relax, and my mission is to find ways to make each individual kitty feel as comfortable as possible, as quickly as possible. This can even be different for two cats from within the same family! Some of the ways in which I try to make your kitty feel at home include:
* Feliway spray & diffuser, catnip spray, and tranquil treats if needed
* welcoming them to sleep on their very own human-sized bed!
* morning sunbaking!
* tempting them with (sanctioned!) tasty treats if anxiety is dampening their appetite
* daily brushing
* playtime for those who enjoy letting their inner kitten come out for a romp!
* creating little hidey-holes around their suite to help them feel safe and secure
* plenty of cuddles and reassurance (or allowing them their space if that's what they prefer)
* allowing them to come and go from the secure enclosure as they please, so they can enjoy plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and observation of birds & lizards in a quiet, suburban yard! It's very important to me that both you and your kitty are relaxed and comfortable during their stay with me, so I'm happy to discuss any special requests to accommodate their needs. I’m always happy to send you updates and photos of your furkid/s during their stay with me :)

😺 BONDED FEMALE RESCUE KITTENS SEEKING THEIR FOREVER HOME! 😺

Introducing my cuter-than-cute current AWLQ foster babies: Fifi & Roxy! These precious sisters love each others’ guts, and are joined at the hip. They sleep intertwined, reach out and touch each other for reassurance throughout the day, indulge in regular smack-down and zoomies sessions together, and cry mournfully if they can’t eyeball each other at all times! In short: they’re a package deal! But the time has come for them to return to the shelter to go up for adoption, where they will likely be separated ☹ It would mean so much if I can help match them with their perfect forever family now so they can be pre-adopted and stay together…… which is where you come in! Fifi & Roxy were rescued by AWLQ as scared, unsocialised babies, but have come along in leaps and bounds and are two of the most purr-tastic, affectionate kittens I’ve ever fostered 😊 They are approx. 14 weeks old, and are full of beans with curiosity and quirks aplenty! Fifi is the gregarious gal, whilst Roxy is the super chill sis – what a perfect complement! Certainly a great fit for family life. They’re wonderfully friendly, playful, and relaxed, and you literally only have to look at them and their purr motors are off and running! Both girls are extremely at ease around other cats (they integrate well with the adult cats in my home), and have been comfortable around children and canine friends with correct introductions. If you’ve never considered adopting a pair of kittens and are concerned that two is more work than one, please read my notes below for more info on this.

⭐️ Feline features: striking tabby markings….channelling her inner jungle cat!
⭐️ Purrsonality: inquisitive, loving, busy!
⭐️ Interests:
❤️ Food!! Fifi has a very adventurous palate
❤️ Being involved in anything and everything that’s going down in the casa! Fifi makes an excellent little shadow, and loves to “help” you go about your day 😊
⭐️ Favourite things:
❤️ Chatting. Chatting. More chatting! Fifi also has an undeniable flare for the dramatic!!
❤️ Snuggling on your lap whilst you’re on the loo (I’m not even kidding here….personal space is over-rated, right?!)
❤️ Burrowing under the doona, snuggling up beside you, and purring so much the bed vibrates!
❤️Being up high – yep, the best vantage point to ensure you don’t miss out on any fun !
⭐️ Cuddle scope: loves a cuddle & will seek you out to nuzzle into your neck or curl up in your lap…..however if there’s action afoot, Fifi is always in the thick of it, and cuddles must wait until she’s not otherwise engaged!

ROXY
⭐️ Feline features: black with the most adorable white markings….Mother Nature’s paint tin went a little rogue! Roxy has an inverted love heart on her sweet little nose 😍
⭐️ Purrsonality: cruisy as, bruh! We thought for weeks she couldn’t speak…..turns out that she can, she’s just super laidback and lets her little sis talk for her most of the time! Roxy is a gentle soul, and has a very calming presence.
⭐️ Interests:
❤️ Snoozing & sunbaking! A girl needs to get her beauty sleep & vitamin D 😉
❤️ Standing sentry in the window to kak-kak-kak at birdies!
⭐️ Favourite things:
❤️ Sleeping upside down (bat cat!)
❤️ Giving little love licks to her humans, awwwww!
❤️ Body-slamming her little sis during wrestle time!
❤️Chasing her own tail…..or gnawing on her sister’s!
⭐️ Cuddle scope: off the charts!! Roxy is a most excellent flopper too, and instantly melts into your arms when you pick her up 😊 She loves a cosy couch snuggle.

Fifi & Roxy are incredibly inquisitive and adventurous, so for their own safety (and aligning with the shelter’s requirements), they must be kept as indoor-only cats please (they adore chillin’ in their secure outdoor cat enclosure too!)
They have very healthy appetites and excellent litter tray manners. Adoption is via Animal Welfare League Qld (AWLQ), and approval is completely at AWLQ’s discretion. The kittens have had 2 vaccinations, are microchipped, up-to date with flea & worming, and next week will be desexed.
These girls are each others’ ride or die……please can you help me ensure they’re not split up? Please PM me asap! I welcome all my ex-fosters back with open arms to stay anytime, so that’s your holiday care sorted! I am also always at your disposal for help/tips 😺

WHY ARE 2 KITTENS BETTER THAN 1???
• Kittens have a LOT of energy! As an experienced foster carer, I can confirm first-hand that a solo kitten needs much, much more attention, interaction, and supervision than a dynamic duo of kittens!
• Being close playmates, Fifi & Roxy keep each other occupied, providing social and mental stimulation. This means no need to worry about them getting bored/lonely, and wreaking havoc in your house!! No 2am wakeup calls from a kitten wanting to play with you 😉
• Having a friend means they can take out their play aggression on one another (instead of you!) They’ll teach each other good boundaries about biting and scratching.
• Kittens learn by observation. They will more quickly pick up skills if they have another kitten to watch and learn from/with!
• Double the snuggles! And so much extra smoochy love to go around 😊 No fighting over whose lap is occupied!

Firstly, a massive thank you to everyone who shared my post about the little ginger brothers needing to find a home together – they have well and truly landed on their paws and are living life large with an amazing family 😊 I now find myself unexpectedly reaching out to you again for help please, as my cuter-than-cute current AWLQ foster babies’ pre-adoption has sadly fallen through at the last minute, which now means I’m scrambling to find them their perfect forever family. Time is very limited….. AWLQ do amazing work, but once they’re returned to the shelter and go into the adoption pens, it’s unlikely these kittens will be adopted out together ☹ So my mission is to help keep these bonded bubs together!

Forest & Diva were rescued several weeks ago as scared, unsocialised babies….but what a difference full bellies, a cosy bed, and lots of love makes! This pair of purry puddings are brother & sister, and are now 8 weeks old…..full of beans, super friendly and relaxed, great with kids, and just brimming with affection and fun! They do everything together, whether that be inhaling every morsel they can get their paws on; snoozing draped on top of each other; zooming around the house in a flurry of butt-wiggly pounces & Wrestlemania-worthy smack-downs; grooming each other (let’s not dwell on their obsession with cleaning each others’ butts!); or getting up to mischief!

These delightful foster kittens (both boys) are joined at the hip – they eat together, sleep together, bathe together, wrestle together, get up to mischief together…..and cry most pitifully if their brother is not within direct line of sight! It would break my heart to see them separated, so as they’re just about due to return to the AWLQ shelter (where they will almost certainly be split up), I feel strongly compelled to do all I can to help find them their perfect new home. I would be so grateful for your help please!

BIOS
Here's the low-down on this pair of cheeky sausages….. Despite his fancy name, Amaranth (or “Ammie” as I call him!) is the what-you-see-is-what-you-get brother: orange boof & floof, balls to the wall, throws himself into any and every situation without a thought or care! He’s a cruisy, floppy little dude who purrs at the drop of a hat 😊 FOMO is part of Amaranth’s DNA and he’s a little chatterbox, so include him or be prepared to hear his feelings verbalised rather loudly!!! He’s been crowned the resident drama queen, and provides amusement aplenty!

Rohan (or RoRo!) has the sweetest little white waistcoat and socks! Due to the boys’ bumpy start in life, he is still a bit hesitant when it comes to trusting people and can present as quite shy and serious, but once he’s comfortable with you is the best snuggler, and rewards you by blissfully closing his eyes and smiling if you cradle him and deliver face scratches in all the right spots! Rohan is the brains of the family, so whilst his brother barrels in you will usually find him sitting back and assessing the situation before joining the fun. Despite being the smaller of the two, Rohan has a deeper, beautifully rumbly purr, and he definitely holds his own during their daily biff play sessions! He’s absolutely hilarious at mealtimes, and emits the cutest little growl if his food thief brother dares even eye off Rohan’s biccies!

Amaranth & Rohan get along famously with other cats, and whilst they’ve not yet been tested with dogs, I feel they’d be fine with canine friends (with appropriate introductions). Amaranth would be great with children of all ages, and Rohan would likely get there in time (being a bit scared still, please be gentle & patient with him). They are incredibly inquisitive and adventurous, so for their own safety (and aligning with the shelter’s requirements), they must be kept as indoor-only cats please (they adore chillin’ in their secure outdoor cat enclosure too!)
