Resharing “Domino’s” post in the hopes that her forever family is out there. She’s been with us for over a month, and sadly, no one has shown interest yet. Her behaviour hasn’t improved and being stuck in a cage just isn’t fair to her. “Domino” needs an experienced, patient owner who’s ready to put in the time and love to help her feel safe and build trust. Meet “Domino” our 8 month old black and white cat who’s had a rough beginning. She was surrendered in January along with her three kittens after they were found at an automotive business in Clontarf. While all her kittens have since found their forever homes, “Domino” is still waiting for a special person who will understand her needs and help her feel safe.

“Domino” is classified as semi-feral, and her past experiences have left her very cautious and often scared of people. She has a strong protective instinct and, when feeling threatened or cornered, can display aggressive behaviors, such as swatting or hissing. This is her way of protecting herself, and it’s important for potential adopters to understand that these behaviours are rooted in fear, not malice.

Her journey will require a great deal of patience and empathy. “Domino’s” trust is not easily earned, and she will need a calm and experienced owner who is comfortable working with a cat who has a scared and defensive nature. She may take a long time to adjust to new people and environments, and it’s crucial that her new home is a quiet and low-stress environment where she feels safe enough to begin her healing process. She needs a person who can read her body language, respect her space, and allow her to approach at her own pace. With time, consistency, and gentle handling, “Domino” will learn to trust and become more comfortable with human interaction, but this will be a gradual process.

Meet “Freida” & “Freya” our two beautiful 4.5 month old Husky X Malamute puppies! 🐺🩷🐺

“Freida” & “Freya” are adorable puppies with a perfect mix of Husky and Malamute. They were surrendered to our care today by their previous family. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, they could no longer care for the girls, so the tough decision was made to place them up for adoption. While these sisters are as sweet as can be, we’re looking for separate homes for them to avoid littermate syndrome. Each has a unique personality that will shine brightest when given the individual attention they deserve.

Freida (18.6kg - pictured left):
“Freida” is the more dominant of the two. She has a confident and adventurous spirit that will keep you on your toes. Her energy and curiosity will make her an incredible companion for an active family or individual who loves to explore. She’s always up for a new challenge, whether it’s a long walk or learning new tricks. With the right training and leadership, “Freida” will thrive and become a loyal and loving friend.

Freya (15kg - pictured right):
”Freya” is still very outgoing, full of energy, and just as affectionate as “Freida”. While she’s a bit more laid-back compared to her sister, she still has a playful and adventurous nature that will keep you entertained. “Freya” loves spending time with her human companions, whether it’s playing in the yard or joining you on outdoor adventures. She’s sensitive but confident, and with the right guidance, she’ll continue to grow into a loving and well-behaved adult.

Both girls are incredibly smart, loving, and full of potential. They’re looking for homes where they can receive the individual attention and training they need to become well-rounded, happy adult dogs. Prior breed experience is recommended as the Husky and Malamute breeds can be independent, high-energy, and require strong leadership. These pups will benefit from owners who understand the needs of their breed, including mental stimulation, consistent training, and plenty of exercise.

We haven’t had much interest in “Domino” so we wanted to reshare her post. “Domino” is semi-feral, and the fear she feels has made her slow to trust humans. She’s not an easy one to rehome, but it’s not right for her to be confined in a cage at the surgery.

Meet “Bean” & “Sprout”! These adorable sisters were recently surrendered to a country vet with the heartbreaking request for euthanasia, but thankfully, they’re now safe and sound with us. These sweet little babies are only around 6 weeks old, and we’ll be giving them all the care they need before they’re ready to find their forever homes. While they won’t be available for adoption just yet (we need to wait another week or two), we wanted to introduce them early so you can fall in love just like we have!
