My daughter and her Pony “Prince Napoleon” jumping their way “Barefoot” to Nationals Championships held in Tamworth this September. Napoleon is on a “2 weekly trim cycle” & 2-4 week body work cycle to keep up this level of competition… a mixture of walking hills, lunging poles, grid for gymnastics and very minimal height jumping is his weekly workout routine. He’s competed the best he’s ever competed. 🌟 these small changes has made a huge difference to his overall performance. As my trimming takes a back step for outside clients I want to make the point of how I believe important it is that horse owners need to learn more about what their farriers are doing and not doing. Learning to trim myself has benefited my own horses so much on short trims cycles that I wish all horse owners could learn to trim. It’s the best thing I’ve done in my life for my horses.

Swipe ➡️ 🤩Lucky for this pony he is getting the care he needs now with his new owners. A little while off getting hooves to normal but we are in a much better place now starting a regular trim cycle. Looking forward to watching them develop into help they hooves.

Sorry I’ve been absent with posting- socials had to get turned off whilst we finished our competition season on the horses. With 4 kids riding and myself life gets a bit hectic. 6 events over 7 weekends 😅 Footy season has started and we can now slow down a little. My first Brumby encounter and I must say how accepting they all were for their very first trim. Mountain Brumby Sanctuary is located right here in Broadford. A non-profitable organisation. These beautiful Brumbies are the lucky ones.

This pony had his shoes off 3 trims ago. Which is roughly 8 weeks ago. He still has some wall to recover in the quarters but I’m so happy with the overall shape off his hoof now and how far less contracted his heals are. His old nail holes are still growing out. I’m hoping my next trim he’ll have all solid walls all around his hoof. 🫶🏻

Rescue horses living their best retired happy lives on this property 😍 second trim in, this OTT hadn’t had her feet done in a long time, her heals are non existent and had seedy toe in each foot. She’s now getting the life she deserves with her new wonderful owner😍 I was called out to this property after a male farrier couldn’t get near her. The owner had put it down to perhaps being mistreated by a male previously. We have had success with our trimming and they are all now on a 5 weekly rotation to get them back to hopefully healthy hooves. 😍

Proof is in the pudding- Lovely new healthy hoof growth on my own horse since starting Balanced Equine minerals. I recommend all my clients to add these minerals to their horses feeds if they haven’t done so already. I have plenty in stock so if your horses hooves are looking a bit ordinary they may be lacking in minerals like Murphy clearly was. Murphy is on now on hoofXtra after get a mild lamanitic episode, prior he was on the equihorse + SE.
