This is how amazing Brumbies are, when My Lord lost his mumma when he was only 7 months old last May, we were all devastated! But Regina one of our mares who came in February and was already caring for two foals, Alis and Prince, took in My Lord also. As you can see in our video Alis and Prince embraced My Lord into their family.
Prince and My Lord have been adopted together by a wonderful family, and Regina who gave birth to Sapphyr in December is also going to her forever home soon with Sapphyr and Alis- giving this tale the happiest ending we could hope for! ❤️🐴"

Free Roaming New Forest Ponies - Visit the New Forest
If there’s one image that’s synonymous with the New Forest, it’s surely the ponies. For centuries, they’ve been a fundamental part of the scenery (and life) in the New Forest, and are a massive draw for tourists. It’s quite a thing when you spot your first wild ponies in the New Forest – they may be technically ‘wild’, but they’re quite accustomed to humans, so they often just go about their business when walkers and cyclists pass by.

If you are visiting the area, however, do treat them with respect – especially if you’re walking dogs or riding a bike.

History of New Forest ponies
Incredibly, there have been ponies in the New Forest since the end of the Ice Age – 11,500 years ago. Some of the earliest records include bones found at Rockbourne Roman Villa near Fordingbridge.

Although they’ve been around for centuries, what we see today is different from the original New Forest pony, as they’ve been mixed with a host of other breeds over the years, including Welsh, Arab, Thoroughbred, Hackney, Highlands and Exmoor.

Hi everyone…….
Sorry for the long post but we need your help!
We don’t want to overload people with requests, especially when times are tough for everyone and Christmas is just around the corner, however out of our 5000 members on this site we have only had 41 tickets sold for the beautiful hand painted pieces of art of Fleck and Buster. These 2 boys are the face of MBS and are our very special stallions who have proved to us all what can be done with these majestic boys with time and patience. They have not been pushed too hard or too quickly to conform to domestic life but they have adjusted beautifully and with a mutual respect that we are both proud and grateful for. Now it is time for their lives to move to the next stage and to settle in a forever home, and their gelding is a requirement for this to happen. The procedure for older age stallions have a few more requirements to recover and adjust to, so the costs are higher than the young colts, and there are the other extra costs associated before they leave the sanctuary such as feet, teeth, microchip etc. Therefore we need all the help we can get. Feed, fencing, medical, training and maintenance costs have all taken a toll on the bank account over the winter and we are hoping that just 150 or so of our members can dig deep to help these boys along on their journey to the next phase by buying a ticket and sharing on their pages to help more advertising of the sanctuary. We hate to constantly ask for help but it is the only way we can keep the horses flourishing in their best possible life.
The paintings we have for prizes are wonderful for any horse lover and we are so grateful to Theresa Clare for the amazing donation to help this great cause. They will make a beautiful Christmas present for someone.

We are hoping to raise $2000 for Fleck and Buster requirements.
Tickets are $10 each, and the raffle will now be drawn on the 30th November.
To purchase tickets please deposit money into our
Bendigo bank account
BSB 633 000
ACC 183 151 810
And then add your name, phone number and reference as raffle. We will then forward you your number/s.
We thank you all and special thanks to those have already bought tickets. It takes a village to support our beloved brumbies and we are so grateful to have each and every one of you involved in the running of the sanctuary. Good luck to all the raffle participants!!
