Tarcoola equestrian centre are very proud to offer NDIS participants equine experiences that will enrich their everyday life and a program that can assist in working towards achieving individual goals.
Horse riding and equine experiences are known for their benefits to those with special needs, trauma background or anxiety, mental health and developmental delays.
It is influential to physical and emotional development, improving coordination, balance, muscle strength and reflex time. Handling, caring and learning horse husbandry off the horse improves coordination and fine motor skills as well as teaching patience, responsibility, self control and dedication. Also having a positive effect on confidence, decision making and self esteem.

HORSESMART Kids program is back for term 4!!

Horse Smart is a structured, outcome based program comprising of 10 weekly 2hr sessions.
A wonderful program run Termly for kids to not only ride, but also gain valuable experience and knowledge off the horse.
Aimed at the 6 - 12yo who are keen to learn all things horse, including:
• Tacking up / down
• Grooming
• Horse Husbandry
• Stable Management
• Feeding
• Gear Maintenance
On horse riding, comprises approx 1hr of the session.
10 x sessions
Thursdays 4-6pm
Each session 2hrs - $100
(Purchase the term up front for 5% discount)
Term commitment is required with catch up sessions available if unable to attend and notice given.

ARENA EVENTING this Saturday after 12pm!
For Teens and adults- all abilities!!
Our Arena Eventing is a combination of showjumping and xc style fences in our grass or indoor arena. Different groups for different abilities and confidence levels- we will be offering a small group for newbies and young horses.
Come and give something fun and different a go. Times will be confirmed once numbers/ groups are finalised.
$130. 1.5-2 hrs pending numbers.
