🪷 LOLA UPDATE – SUCCESSFULLY ADOPTED 🪷
Timothy Brooke-Hunt adopted Lola from us close to three years ago. Tim and Lola shared a most beautiful loving relationship in that time. Sadly, we say VAIL to wonderful Tim who recently completed the process of voluntary assisted dying due to MND.
Tim waited until we had found another loving home for Lola, and to avoid her feeling she had been abandoned by Tim, she lay peacefully under his legs for the full two hours of the assisted dying procedure.
We then picked Lola up and delivered her to new mum Megan and her dog Missy.
Lola has always been an extremely well loved dog, but to her detriment, she was never trained or socialised with other dogs by her original owners. This led Lola to display a complete lack of manners around other dogs, manifesting in quite unpredictable conduct (even after significant behaviour modification training). She has however mellowed and become a very well trained dog in all other aspects.
Megan is a most amazing woman who has always rescued the dogs no one else wants. She picked Staffy x ‘Missy’ up off the streets where she was so forsaken; hairless and scabby due to horrific mange and fighting for her life amongst other abandoned street dogs. Missy is now well, healthy and has learnt to cohabitate nicely with other dogs due entirely to Megan’s efforts.
Megan has now welcomed 9yo Lola into her home and heart and with her patience and more effort, Lola now enjoys yet another loving home together with on-leash walks and off-leash runs with her new best mate Missy – an extraordinary accomplishment.
Massive thanks to Megan & Missy and everyone else involved in Lola’s rehabilitation and training (particularly Tim and Lissie the Furry Dogmother) 🙏💖🙏
