Welcoming a rescue dog into your home is a beautiful act of compassion—but it’s also a journey that takes time, love, and patience.

Many of our dogs have experienced trauma, abandonment, or neglect. They've lost families, been let down, or lived in survival mode. When they arrive in your home, they’re not just adapting to a new space—they're learning to trust again.

It’s natural to want to please them straight away with cuddles, toys, and freedom. But the most powerful gift you can offer is time to settle. Let them explore slowly. Let them come to you when they’re ready. Build a rhythm together. Just like us, they carry memories—and just like us, they need space to heal.

🍑 Peach Has Found Her Happy Ever After (Almost)!

Meet Peach – your tiny guardian angel with the biggest heart! 💖

Petite Peach, our sweet 2 year 8 month old Staffy x Cattle Dog, has officially gone on trial in her new home, but we think it’s safe to say she’s already found her forever family.

This little 12kg pocket rocket has charmed everyone she’s met – from her cautious, gentle nature to her loyal, protective spirit. Peach is now settling in beautifully, soaking up all the love and cuddles she deserves.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared her story and helped her find the perfect match. We couldn’t be happier for Peach and her wonderful new humans. 🌈🐾

Meet Cindy and Sally, two of the most adorable little girls you’ll ever meet. These bonded besties are full of love, loyalty, and charm, and they’re now searching for their perfect forever home together.

Their previous owner made the heartbreaking decision to surrender them due to poor health, a selfless act to give them a better life. Now it’s time for them to find a home full of love, warmth, and belly rubs.

About Them:
Cindy is the bolder of the two, with a curious spirit and a twinkle in her eye. Sally is more of an introvert, gentle, shy, and soulful, but once she trusts you, she’ll stick to you like glue. They adore human company and will follow you from room to room with their tails wagging.

They get along with other dogs, though they can get a little jealous – these girls are craving someone who will shower them with love and attention. They’re indoor girls through and through, and while they can be left at home, their dream parents would work from home and spoil them with companionship

They’re still learning to trust men, but we believe with patience and kindness, they’ll come around in time. They’ve had limited outside experience, so they’re just learning to walk on lead and will soon be desexed.

Ziggy has found his forever home! 🐾

We’re over the moon to share that our beloved Ziggy has been adopted by the most amazing, caring and wonderful couple. Visiting Ziggy this week and seeing him so happy in his loving home truly warmed our hearts.

After over three years with us at the shelter — being our gentle giant, peacekeeper and wise soul — Ziggy now gets to enjoy the retirement he deserves. His new family are absolutely crazy about him, and Ziggy has found the soft bed, gentle strolls, and unconditional love he dreamed of.

It’s moments like these that make our work so deeply rewarding. When everything aligns and a dog like Ziggy finds their perfect match, this is why we do what we do. To everyone who supports, fosters, adopts or simply cares — you are the real deal. Thank you for helping us make happy endings like this possible.

Meet Zeplin – The Gorgeous Aussie Shepherd with a Big Heart!

Zeplin is a stunning 2-year-old Australian Shepherd looking for his furever family, through no fault of his own. This beautiful boy is ready to fill your life with love, loyalty, and fun!

💧 Water lover alert! Zeplin adores splashing, playing, and cooling off. Add in his love for tummy rubs and tasty treats, and you’ll see why he’s such a favourite at the shelter. His love of food will make ongoing training a breeze!

Already desexed, Zeplin is a strong, active boy who will thrive with confident handling and continued training. He’s enjoying his newfound freedom at the shelter, but nothing would make him happier than a loving home of his own.

Zeplin gets along well with other dogs and enjoys being part of the family. He’s a natural guardian and will be a wonderful, loyal addition to the right home. Because he can be a little boisterous (still learning not to jump on furniture!), we think he’d suit a home without very young children.

We know how special Zeplin is, so we’ll be choosing his new home with great care. His perfect family will have the time, patience, and energy to continue his training, give him plenty of exercise, and most of all, shower him with love!
