Now thereβs alot of things I recommend for dogs that struggle with reactivity and this is just a few but remember itβs okay for you to have a dog with reactivity, donβt feel embarrassed itβs actually very common and a lot of dogs and owners struggle with this behaviour.
Work with a trainer your comfortable with and change a few things and youβll be amazed the progress youβll see in 6 months if you start today πππΎ
Iβve also worked out that walking and talking is extremely difficult, not me struggling with basic words π€£
It baffles me how many irresponsible dog owners are out there, every week myself and clients dogs are put in situations where someone has their dog off leash with no control.
Please use long lines if youβd like to exercise your dog, learn how to use it safely or stop going to on leash areas with your off leash dogs.
@wildhundeau have a great selection of long lines plus more ππΎπΆ

A lot of people think dog training is all fun and games which it can be but most of my clients start out struggling.
They donβt enjoy their dogs anymore, they are struggling with reactivity, behavioural issues, attention seeking behaviours, separation anxiety and are just lost.
I do this job to help educated clients on how to educated their dogs and to be able to enjoy them again.
I always have in the back of my mind all the dogs that couldnβt get the help, the humans who didnβt know how to help them and Iβm so happy that I get to help the few I do.

π PSA Trial π
This weekend I had the pleasure of cheering on my best friend and her amazing dog @bluemaligator trialing for their PSA 1 title.
Day one she didnβt get the result she needed to complete but day 2 she will be going for her first leg, I am beyond proud of Kristen @puppyparentingprogram @kristen_mueller and Blue.
PSA stands for protection sport association and is a dog sport that helps owners with high drive canines have a safe and controlled outlet.

Working on building positive associations with the car, itβs important to note that Bonnie works for her food so she gets fed through training and I find thatβs a massive advantage with this types of training because you are doing so many reps and feeding so much.
Disclaimer - This session was our first session and it did go very well, If I saw the behaviours I was talking about in the video i would of dropped my criteria and worked on just small reps of driving and building from there. Itβs all on what the dog thinks and feels and some dogs may take longer or quicker session and I will be starting every session and ending every session building on high value in the crate and car.
The reason is using a crate is because it helps her feel safe and secure in an object like the car that makes her uneasy, crate training is so beneficial in so many ways.
