8 BEAUTIFUL HORSES ABANDONED AND NEEDING YOUR HELP!

EDIT: 26 JUNE: Due to overwhelming offers of support, we now have so many applications for horses and for assistance that it will take us some time to sort through them and we will draw a line in the sand as of 5.00 pm today. If you've sent an adoption application, a message or an email - thank you - it will be answered in the next day or two. If, after this round of adoptions, there are horses from this 8 remaining, we will do another post. Please remember also, that we have horses, particularly companion horses, available at our Anna Bay rescue, so please consider one of those as an alternative and message us. Hunter Horse Haven was advised of a herd of eight horses including 2 stallions, that had been abandoned on a property approximately one hour north of Newcastle. The new owner, lacking any horse knowledge, just wanted the best for them, and contacted Hunter Horse Haven with his dilemma.
Our team sprang into action, arranging our volunteers to travel to the site, provide regular feeding, mend fences and observe each horse. Some are in very poor condition.
These eight beautiful souls are approachable but unhandled. They have stunning markings – mostly pintos. There is also the possibility that some of the mares are in foal.
You can understand our desire to help with this kind person's dilemma!
We are appealing to anyone who may be interested in providing a loving forever home for one or more of these horses, or can assist in any way possible.
