❄️ As the weather cools down, it's important to consider how it can affect our furry friends, especially those with arthritis or joint pain. Just like us, dogs can feel the chill in their bones, making winter weather tough for pets dealing with stiffness and discomfort.❄️

Here is a few things that you can do to make sure your pets are comfy:
🛏️ Make sure they have a cozy, warm bed to snuggle up in.
🚶‍♂️ Keep them moving with gentle exercise to prevent stiffness.
🍽️ Consider adjusting their diet or adding supplements to support joint health.
🏠 Provide shelter from the cold and dampness
🩺Have a chat with your vet to see if there is anything additional that can be done (like an osteoarthritis injection) that might provide additional support to your pet

𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲!

Andrea is one of our talented and experienced receptionists, spending most of her time at our Bullsbrook clinic and occasionally helping out our West Swan team too. 😁

Her first job from school saw her working at a riding stable, then moving into racing stables, mixed farming and then managing a piggery. Andrea decided that she found so much enjoyment working with animals, that she naturally decided to become a Vet Nurse. She nursed for a considerable amount of time before life directed her down another career path where she had a break from the industry for 10+ years.

When we advertised for a receptionist nearly 2 years ago, Andrea was the perfect fit to our team bringing a mature, nurturing and positive outlook.

Outside of work Andrea loves to hang out with her two dogs, Romeo and Juliette. She has a strong love for travel, horse riding and supporting other woman through a women's circle that she helps to run.
Something unique about Andrea is that she is a trained End of Life Doula, which enables her to provide education, support and options for people when it comes to their end of life. These learnings enable Andrea to provide the perfect amount of support to pet parents not only in day to day clinic, but especially during a pets transition over the rainbow bridge. 🌈🐾
